One of the nicest state parks we've ever stayed at. Really nice bathroom/shower facilities with clean, private shower rooms. Tons of trails with incredible wooded and beach areas. There's a pretty creek right behind our site. Their play area for kids is fantastic and newer. We'll definitely be back again.
Nice campground. Friendly staff. All the sites seem really nice. Can get super packed on weekends. If you have any visitors there aren’t any day passes available. Just $18 park pass. It’s a bit of a hike to the beach. The roads through the campground loops need work- which it sounds like the park will be getting some updates this summer- which will make it an excellent place to camp.
Very nice state park. Some spots are a little close together but many have room between your neighbor. Showers were nice and bathrooms. Short walk to beach. Nice walking paths in park. Dump station with water to fill RV. Water spigots dispersed throughout park for filling bottles.
Probably my favorite place to camp in Michigan. The park is mostly shady with lots of large trees. I have stayed in several campsites there and they've all been good. It is a very busy campground so you can be prepared for that.
One of our favorite places. The drive to beach access is closed, but you can still walk there (10-15 min).
Loved it here! The area is well kept, there are tons of places to hike, and host campsites have free coffee in the morning. There is a mini library with books, games, and crafts. They have craft nights for kids and families. For your convenience, there are tools such as rakes and push brooms that you can borrow to clean up your site if needed. The downsides are that there is no water hookup though they do have water fill up stations. They clean the bathrooms/showers during heavy traffic hours and multiple people are stuck waiting or traveling far away to the other set. The complaint isn't that they are cleaning, just that choose to do it at heavy traffic hours (9am/7pmish) instead of down times like 6am/4pm. Parking a camper may prove difficult because there a lot of trees and some spots are narrow because of them, so it's something to keep in mind. Ultimately a great place to camp for all camping styles! I reccomend it.
Such a beautiful space for short-term and long-term campers with fun things to do throughout the summer, especially for children giving the adults a moment to relax! Gorgeous parks and trails for the nature lovers and athletes, an awesome playground but it would have been nice to swing and a better bathroom cleaning schedule ; ) overall fantastic I'll be back!
Me and my family go camping here every year and its jus so much fun!! And were u can see the sun sets are just soo pretty. The beach is such a good beach to!!And the campsites are just the perfect size for familys!!!!

This was a beautiful park I visited with my children and my dog. If you go right, you can take a nice nature hike all the way down to Lake Michigan. With amazing views both ways at the end. The kids can run up and down the dunes in areas if they woul
Bella Maria's could not have been better. Our guests raved about the food. We were offsite and Teddy cooked our meal. The parmesan encrusted chicken breast was tender and juicy. Every dish was great. Staff was super friendly and quickly fixed a
