Long time iconic dining spot in NYC. The wide variety of fresh oysters and the oyster Rockefeller are a great way to start your meal. You can't go wrong with a burger from here, or a lobster roll. We prefer the Connecticut style over Maine.
I have no idea how anyone can post anything but a 5-star review on this place. We had a FANTASTIC experience, and I doubt that future visits, if we lived there, would change. Drew was our bartender, and he combined personality, energy, and efficiency perfectly. Sometimes the staff sort of "makes" your experience, and he did exactly that. The place itself oozes with history and nostalgia. Yes, I even am posting a pic of the bathroom ceiling. Wife had a very well made French 75. I had the local IPA by Six Point. They have the old school jukebox and if Drew is working, play All Along The Watchtower for him. He will love you for it. Don't play Janis Joplin. The burger was solid, and that was a main reason we went there. It was well worth the $24. The oysters were also worth the 6 for $24. The chowder was also solid. Good mix of regulars, other service industry people, and sports fans during our visit. There are a lot of places in NYC obviously, but if nearby Midtown, you should definitely schedule an hour or two for here. Definitely recommend and see you there (the next time we are in NYC).
the location is very nice and typical. the service didn’t really convince me. we called asking if any gluten-free dishes were available and they told me so. we made a reservation. when we arrived they asked us to wait 30 minutes for our table (even if we reserved it!). when we sat down very few gluten-free dishes were available. the quality of the food is good but the service really needs a brush-up.
Very nice historic place . Burger was solid and unique . Fries were not salty, very enjoyable. Would be happy to try more burgers . Dessert really hit the spot . Brownie Sunday all the way . Only negative it was quite cold inside .
PJ’s is a cross between an English pub and an American diner. Red and white tablecloths meet the dark, tight and pokey feel of a pub. The food is very solid but it’s not quite as good as I was expecting. I had the Trio of Burgers so I could try all that was on offer. The Classic Burger & Cadillac Burgers were quite bland. The best was the Blue Cheese & Onion Burger. I think it was the lack of flavour in the patty that brought it down. I also had the lobster roll which was perfectly good but nothing too special. The best dish of the day was PJs Cheesecake. Great size for the price and although I like a little more biscuit to cheese ratio it was still really light and creamy. I was disappointed by PJs because for the price you expect it be perfect.
Nice and characteristic place with a good twist on seafood and burgers. The local is too dark to make you comfortable (it is even difficult to read the menu) and the personal could be more sympathetic, but ok, it's New York.
This place opened in 1884 and I can see why they are still here and doing so well I came for the Clarke burger and it did not disappoint Nothing fancy about the burger, just the classic done really well ps: asked for sautéed onions and I think it did add to the overall flavor
This is in my opinion one of the top five spots in NYC for a classic burger. The oysters were great and the spicy wings were excellent.
This place was wonderful! It is right across the road (diagonally) from the 9/11 memorial. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was friendly. The inside is covered in patches from first responders all over the United States and beyond. The area is
We had the most wonderful time. The best cream cheese and locks bagel I have ever had in addition to the best potato latke I have ever had. And note my bagel was gluten free, it was super emotional and amazing to be able to enjoy it at such a pivotal
Lovely place in a cute neighborhood. I have had two extravagant pizzas that were sensational, pumpkin ricotta bake that was out of this world and baked broccoli that was also very good. Hummus had some space for improvement but the sourdough bread se
Marc Forgione always delivers a memorable experience. Weâve been coming here for 8+ years and have never had a bad experience. Getting a res can be challenging, but itâs usually pretty easy to get seats at the bar and sometimes this ends up bein
This little tasty, cute and friendly spot is a 10/10. Highly recommend stopping here for the Elder Millennial cocktail and their burger. The vibe chill and comfortable. We will definitely be back!
First experience here and my boyfriend and I loved this place. I came on a Saturday morning and there were lots of people waiting for tables but i had a reservation and the hostess led us right to a table which was nice. Our waitress Sara was lovely,
What a place full of history! to say that George Washington was there! We had the opportunity to spend one. Christmas Eve at this place and we really enjoyed it. special mention for the oysters which were very good! I highly recommend this warm
The albacore tuna was overall excellent. I had expected it to be a little more moist, but maybe because I'm more used to having salmon. Nevertheless, the fennel, grapefruit, orange, etc., contributed to a great combination of flavors. For the starte
Got the sampler. It was excellent. Price and serving size was good. Cheesey, creamy, good flavors to choose from. My wife got the all American. Kind bland but good for kids (who itâs recommended for). Definitely coming back. One of the best Mac an
Eko is the best property manager Iâve ever met. He is very reactive and provide service as soon as possible. My 4 months tour in NYC is indispensable without his help.
One of the best bibimbaps Iâve ever had! Cozy space so there is not a lot of seating, but would get it as take-out if needed. Will definitely go back!
The Ness is the best studio in NYC! Been a very consistent client for the last 6 months -classes- Very fun and stay challenging (I bounce several times a week and the classes are still varied + still a challenge) -instructors - EVERY single instruc
Great class. All the coaches organize classes to push you but allow you to workout to your level. The workout space is not overcrowded and the environment makes you forget youâre actually running!
Out of all of the Georgian restaurants Iâve been to in Brooklyn and Manhattan, Mealz is the one that exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, not to mention the service was amazing. Overall, the environment was very comforting and friendly
Great, fantastic experience. My girlfriend and I came here for the first time during a trip to NYC and it's so great. The location at night in the winter at night was a bit unfamiliar but it's on a main street and near a subway entrance so that's a t
Tickets were crazy affordable, especially in NYC terms. I went with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. It was wayyy cheaper than going to the movies. They had an amazing line-up and the retro 80s vibes were intimate and chill. Plus the come
Absolutely love F45 midtown location! The gym is huge and spacious, the equipment in great condition , and the instructors rock. Theyâre always very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to injuries/ substitutions and I feel I get a great workout
I look forward to my body rolling and foot fitness sessions with Melyssa! Her immense knowledge and intuition guide the sessions in a great way. This work is supportive for the long haul; brings awareness, strength and greater mobility. It's become a
