I stopped here after a nice walk at lovers point to grab a smoothie and it was great. The mango peace fruit smoothie isn't too sugary or sweet. The pricing is fair too, and it feels nice to chill here. The couches are wayyyy to comfortable. In a good way
As good writing coffee shops go, Juice n Java is great. Friendly staff, Lots of room, tables, chairs and couches. Great coffee (sadly, no gluten free foods) but otherwise a great spot for writers, and dogs. Very dog friendly.
Food is pretty nice! I go to open mic night on Fridays, and it makes me feel more welcome in the Monterey communities. The amazing artists, musicians, and singers will always have a place here!
J&J has been here since my childhood, and I will say that it’s even better & feels even more welcoming and authentic under the new ownership of Mr. Scott! Delicious breakfast burrito filled with veggies & eggs (from the nearby Mando’s restaurant) plus he made sure we got the local’s fav hot sauce (Pepper Plant) to go with. So glad we re-discovered this gem, will be back again soon!
One of my favorite cafes in PG to study at with ample seating, plugs at the tables against the wall, a comfy couch for reading. Service is quick and efficient.
Wonderful display of artwork. Service is lacking. No chatting or smiling, very robotic in attending to customers. Smoothie was ok.
Great service. The employees make you feel at home. Beautiful building inside and out. Delicious drinks. My next time in the area, I'm definitely coming back. ***2/14/17 update*** service is still great and their coffee is amazing. Got the White Chocolate Mocha Double Shot...delicious. Frank is the absolute best. Thanks for the recommendations on the fish tacos too!
Cozy and quiet place to have a sip of joe. Dark and mahoganyesque ambience, it reminds me of Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks” lonely and sterile mood.
