Ozone Inn & Suites - Hotel in Ozone Park - 137-08 Redding St, USA

It’s a nice hotel to stay in. The peeps from the front desk were very helpful. Cleaning ladies were super sweet. We stayed there for 2 weeks and had to leave a day early due to family emergency. I must thanks all the workers in that hotel. I accidentally left my hat(that was given by my dead uncle) in our room. They were very nice about it when my boyfriend called. They even kept it in a safe spot and was ready to be pick up 4 days later when my friend arrived. The downside is that they don’t provide free breakfast. You can get it by the deli around the corner. The laundromat and dollar tree are also around the corner if you need anything. Also I must mention that Hispanic restaurant around that corner as well. The food was so delicious. Definitely would recommend this place if you are looking for a cheap stay in NYC.

When I check in, the front desk said didn’t find my booking, I already paid the full payment through Expedia, but the front desk said only see my booking cancellation, he can saw that I have booked the Travelodge (the one next to Ozone Inn) before and cancel, of course I need to cancel it, because just 1 week before my trip, I received an urgent email from Expedia said Travelodge is unavailable, asked me to cancel the booking and book another one. But when I come to the site, I saw there are people inside the Travelodge, there are cars parked in their lot, I don’t know why it’s suddenly unavailable for other travelers. Also, I see the gate between the parking lot of Travelodge and Ozone Inn are open, the two motels are connected, they are in the same group. Anyway, suddenly unavailability of Travelodge makes me need to book another hotel, so I book the one next to it, which is Ozone Inn & Suite. But when I check-in, the front said can’t find my booking, and said it will charge me $190 per night (instead of $110 per night which I booked before), but as I already did the full payment through Expedia online, it’s unreasonable to charge me again and charged me so much, so I phone to Expedia, and the Expedia agent phone to the front desk, the agent phoned to the front desk 2 times, the front desk said will try to find my booking, finally he find my booking, so I no need to pay extra, but it already wastes me a lot for time! We waited at the lobby for one hour for him to settle down the issue. It’s really a bad experience. ||Talking about the room, it’s not clean, there are cheerios left from previous customers on the floor, also many hairs all over the room, on the floor, even on the towels, there are hairs. One of the drawers is broken. ||We book the room for 4 people, but they just provided 2 big towels, one medium and one small towel, I need to ask them for extra towels everytime! (as we stayed there for 3 nights). Also, they don’t have breakfast provided. There are only 2 lights in the room, not enough lighting, the ice machine is not working.||It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to the nearest subway station, but there is a bus stop on the opposite street.

Les chambres sont sales...le ménage est fait, mais au strict minimum. Lumière dans la chambre pas agréable du tout. L'ascenseur, ainsi que les couloirs, sentent mauvais. Frigo dans la chambre ( un bon point ), ainsi que d'1 micro-onde ( par contre pas terrible pour les odeurs dans la chambre ). Matelas confortable. Accueil sympathique. Quartier pas très agréable, mais non dangereux. Bus et métro à proximité. ATTENTION : Contrairement à ce qui est annoncé sur Google, cet hôtel ne propose pas de navette gratuite pour l'aéroport. Malgré un personnel sympathique, je n'y retournerai pas.

The staff and the management make this place great. Stayed here a night under negative circumstances (flight cancelations due to heavy snow). These guys were able to get my family and I a couple of rooms at a decent price, when everything else was booked. The rooms were nice and clean and overall the hotel provided a solid safe stay. I normally would not stay here (Marriott Elite), but am thankful these guys were there to help us in a difficult situation! Keep it up!

We stayed in this hotel for about 10 days. The hotel was just ok. They don’t have carpets. Also it’s too loud and noisy in the middle of the night. Every night we would wake up at 3 am and hear people and children runny and giggling in the hallway, outside our room. It happened every day and we kept on wondering who would be so active at 3 am in the morning. I thought to myself that may be there are ghosts in this hotel that wake up at night. Upon checking with the receptionist, we were told that there is a big group of people staying in the hotel and that they come in everyday at late night hours. Another issue was parking, the hotel website says that they have parking but don’t be fooled by that. They have only parking for 6 or 7 cars. If those spots are taken then you have to find parking on the streets. The hotel staff was nice. If I have an option, I will not stay in this hotel again.

By far this place is the worst hotel I have ever stay in. Horrible customer service, room was filthy and had a strong smoke smell. The entire hotel was supposed to be “smoke-free”. Bathroom sink faucet was broken, bathtub faucet was broken as well. We had a room with a King size bed and a sofa bed. When we opened the sofa bed the mattress was yellow and had at least three huge brown stains. Totally unacceptable. We also found some mold in the bathtub. The keys to our room stopped working the second day so since they couldn’t fix it we had to go all the way to the front desk to have our room unlocked everytime we would want to get in. Horrible experience, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

This hotel is relatively cheap and you get what you pay for. The room was serviceable but oddly laid out. There was free WiFi, which is a plus, but the breakfast was very second rate, although maybe not by Days Inn standards. The shuttle drivers were terrific and quite friendly, so that was a plus

Booked a "Deluxe room with two double beds" 6 months in advance. Got a basement room, window onto pavement/sidewalk, one bed and one sofa bed. Was told there were no rooms with two double beds (see pics above, obviously not true). Had to then request sheets and bedding for sofa bed. Bedding was stained. Bathroom was good size but sink had a large crack in it. Ridiculously loud music for a party at the hotel started at 9.30 pm and went on until 1.45 am!! The room was vibrating and the emergency lighting was sparking. Went to complain to reception who agreed it was unacceptable but said they could do nothing about it. Relieved to get out of there at 6am. JFK shuttle pick-up was efficient.
