Ozark Salvage & Variety - Home improvement store in Koshkonong - U.S. 63 S at, M Hwy, USA

For a salvage store, I expected to find lower prices on the items we priced. The store was kept in good shape. The people were friendly enough. But no public bathroom? The children had to GO - outside, with napkins we had in the truck, no way to wash hands... We may check it out one more time in the future to see if it's any better.. hopefully next time we'll find a reason to return?

You never know exactly what you will find from one visit to the next but there always seems a good choice of quality materials.

Good place to grab some odds and ends. Convenient if you don't live close to West Plains. Some of the prices are higher than the hardware store. Overall a good place to shop.

BUYER BEWARE, customer service is non-existent here. they have no return policy even if the product is damaged and unusable. bought a door, hard to inspect it with it closed and not being able to inspect it before purchase, found out after it was installed it had a damaged weatherstrip seal along the side and bottom, this is not fixable, this was a factory reject identified by marker circles around damaged areas in the jamb area. requested a different door and was denied so...... will not be returning and so will many others. save your time and money and go to the big stores that have a return policy and you can get the things you want at the same or lesser price.

I was greeted as I entered the store. Immediately was asked if they could help me find something. Nice. What I needed wasn't in stock: it got ordered. Made me feel my needs were important to this business.

It's a nice place but being a salvage place they don't have everything. There is still a good selection. My wife was looking for a cabinet and they have lots, just not what she wanted. Before I have bought stuff there and was happy with what I bought

This is a great treasure cove for most or any home owner, contractor, homemaker, tinkerer or handyman/woman. Just remember those two words in the name of this business contain "Salvage & Variety". This is one of several or many ways merchandise gets to be called "Salvge". When there is train derailment, semi truck and trailer accident/s, warehouse/s or retail store/s that has had insurance claim due to fire, flood or something has happened in which merchandise is purchased by the insurance company. I'm pretty positive this is a family owned and operated business or a "Ma and Pa" store. Usually its a somebody that knows somebody that has the resources(money, building, established retailer, and good customer base) with the ability to sell/move items. This particular business is more like a bent/dent version of Lowe's, ACE Hardware, Home Depot, True Value and Menards. If your wanting a pair jeans, boots and a cowboy hat this isn't the place. When you see something that you need or want, then decide it can wait until next time you come back more than likely it won't be there and might not ever have it again. Highly recommend putting this businesss on your check it out list. The inventory is always changing to a certain degree. There is some items in which they try or do keep in stock all the time. Stop in and see for yourselves.
