Oyster Pointe & Oyster Bay Resort - Hotel in Sebastian - 1570 US-1, USA

We own a week at Oyster Bay and come every year for the last week of summer. We love all the recent upgrades over the past few years. One of the best upgrades has been the new crew at the boat dock. Much more friendly and professional than in years past, and they really took great care of our family all week. Thanks guys!! Can’t wait to come back next year to our home away from home and experience the all new (and hopefully faster) boats.

10 out of 10!!! We are staying at Oyster Bay.for a week The dock guys Donny and Tony were so amazing. They remembered us by name. They offered us towels and seat cushions to make us feel really comfortable. They were thorough & engaging. Dock was cleaned and organized. They even made a great connection with our 7 & 10 year old. What extraordinary service!

Resort on inland waterway about 30 min from beach …you can rent the use of a boat for $100 a week which is a great deal if the “ winds” are cooperative. Great for the fishers. Units have been updated in past few years but STILL haven’t e stalled dishwashers in units or propane BBQ…still using old” “ charcoal ones”. Wifey is spotty at best…depending on the unit you are in! Air conditioning in our unit was very poor…thank goodness it was cool most evenings! Grounds very attractive and well maintained. Staff very,very friendly. Lots of good restaurants nearby and two supermarkets 5-10 min drive. Units generally clean, however ours had cockroaches, which we had never encountered before. Units only with one small bathroom which is difficult with two couples. Queen size bed in one room and two very small single beds in other small room with very poor lighting. I personally feel it is overrated by RCI. Has some pluses ( boats and staff and grounds and restaurants) but has many negatives.

First, we cannot say how wonderful our week there is and has been for many years. Our experience has always been beyond wonderful. |The reason for the rating is strictly about customer service. For whatever reason, I have had to call the office a little more than usual this past year, with questions. I know that Friday and Saturday, check in days, are very busy, and so have tried to call mid week but still get the same treatment. We know many of the staff that have been in the office for many years, (thank you Pam!), and sadly I do not know the name of the person that is most likely to answer when you call at this time. You can tell it is her if she is immediately curt, rude and overall unfriendly. If I ask to speak to anyone else I am told that they are all busy. Since it is our only complaint, we should be happy, but as it has happened many times now, I felt that I must post this. ||Otherwise-go go go for the most fun, awesome, week you will ever have!

Our unit smelled like old cigarette smoke. The sinks back up and foam with bubbles when the people upstairs use their water. Internet speeds are so low that my cell phone keeps disconnecting and the networks disappear entirely. Resort admits they have locked down the Internet since last year when we're here. No longer to use a Fire Stick or stream Netflix or have a GotoMeeting. No blankets in the units, just bedspreads. |We enjoyed this resort last year but not this year. We won't be wasting our points to come back here

Boat dock helped me so much. Went on my own to get some practice in since I'm not the most confident in my boating skills with the boating experience I do have. I have boated before but back seat drivers are a major problem. I went out and they saw where he could use some improvement so when I came back they hopped on and walked me through how to counter steer and how best to approach when waves are pushing my motor one way and my nose the other. Was helpful and kindly given and they encouraged me to come back out again for more practice and lessons.

Great resort right by the sea and near the cutest coastal locations. Service at the hotel was great, and the men who work the boat service are wonderful, especially Jonathan. Thank you for a great time, will be back again. A wonderful summer experience. ☀️

We were looking for a nice getaway near the Atlantic, and thought this would fit the bill. We were 20 minutes away from beaches, so that part was perfect.||The resort’s grounds are very nice and you can walk to several restaurants, which is also good.||Now for the bad. We were on the top floor of a 2 story unit, with a family of 8-10 below us. We could hear the kids running around, slamming the doors, all the time when we were in the unit. This place is a haven for large families, who take over the pool and the common grounds. There was no peace and quiet to be found anywhere. Kids would run you down with their skateboards and trikes, which actually weren’t even allowed. The families left empty bottles and trash on the common grounds, which I have never encountered at a timeshare before. Many other units had large families in them, with loud music playing on the balconies, and overall just being obnoxious.||One of the nearby restaurants had live music so loud we could hear it in our unit. ||We were totally disappointed in our stay here.||
