OYO Hotel Pompano Beach - Hotel in Pompano Beach - 4211 N Federal Hwy, USA

The pictures are fake. They look nothing like the photos. All items in the rooms from bed to furniture to lighting is old rundown and broken. Shower rodes pulled out of the wall and just hanging. Wifi was very spotty. The doors were smaller that the door jams so you can see outside, the beds were extremely old and broken and rapped with plastic. The staff were rude. The door locks did not work I had to get a new card key 5 times before they moved me to a new room. So I was in 2 rooms and the conditions were the same. In addition to all this there were bed bugs in the room. My daughter got cluster of bits from head to toe...she has been on medicine for the last 5 days because of hotel condition.

This is not a clean hotel. The sheets and pillows were stained and hairy when we first checked into our room. The bathroom was covered in bugs and very dirty. The pictures that they have up of the rooms are only technically accurate. The beds are very uncomfortable and small (even with staying in the king size bedroom) and only come with one full size pillow (which was also stained) Some other important notes: This is still Haven Hotel, even though the brand name has changed to OYO, so anything in the reviews for that place still apply (currently at 2.9 stars) Also, the 5 star reviews for this place are a bit fishy, almost all of them from people who have only reviewed other OYO hotels (and given them 5 stars as well) so the high rating here might not be entirely warranted. Wow .. Don't know where to start with this place!! If you are big on cleanliness .. Stay far away from here! First I had the worst checking experience because the lady at the front desk had a complete attitude with me from the moment I walked in! I told her that when I book the room on hotels.com that the confirmation said I could pay my deposit with cash or a CC .. She then tells me that's wrong and I need to call them and correct that.. I told her that it's not my property it's their responsibility to make sure the information given is correct.. And so on.. After going back and forth with her I finally got checked in.. And as soon as I walked in the room I was pissed even more cause it looked like a rundown dump the carpets looked like it had not been swept in weeks. I had to have them change the bedsheets because it had all type of stains on them! There were broken pieces of tiles in the so called kitchen area I guess.. The towels had stains on them as if they were just washed in water with no soap! (Thank God I brought my own towels) the tv did not work properly it had maybe three working Channels two were Spanish.. The room was filled with ants! I could barely sleep I spent all night watching my daughter sleep hoping nothing would crawl on her.. If I didn't use my last to rent that room I sure would have left! Very unacceptable.. I could write so much more but I'm sure you get the picture!

Old and some rooms not completely furnished (kitchen table and chairs missing). Old bathroom but functional. Doors need to be closed tightly to assure locking. Desk attendant was distracted. Not hard to find. Plenty of parking. Price probably appropriate for above. Room 214 had bed bugs. Pretty badly bitten. Hotel had no answers. Was not offered compensation.

Nothing on the website is correct about this place. They do not serve breakfast so I'm not sure what other reviewers are talking about. Two out of three lamps do not work in the room, and the door doesn't lock. Tried to speak to the front desk, and as soon as he got the credit card info he "was busy now." Bed was lumpy like a sack of potatoes. Be careful before booking. They charge a five dollar a day resort fee to park there and use the pool. They will also charge you a $100.00 deposit.

This place deserves a big zero. You walk in the room and it feels like it hasn't even been cleaned before. Found an empty pill rapper and everything in my room which goes to show how much they overlooked any kind of cleanliness. The windows are broke so the little bit of a/c that you do get just right outside. The bathroom is non-working. The toilet is ready to come away from the floor. My hot water isn't working and I called to ask somebody to check it out and it's almost been an hour already and nobody has come to my room. I asked the lady politely in the front if she would reimburse me for the room or give me a free night for my troubles and she said no way like it was a huge problem to try to make her customer happy. Do not stay here. If you're going to spend $85 on a room like I did you should probably spend it somewheres else or you're going to be extremely mad like I am.

Wi fi, TV, light and pool doesn’t worked and you have to pay a fee for these things. Not very clean. It’s good localization, but don’t worth it. We had to change our room 3 times, cause one of them smells like cigar, another one don’t have refrigerator, another one the air conditioning don’t work well... In each room, another problem. I spoke to management (the front desk) and they did nothing and was so rude... I had to “accept” my room cause definitely not was comfortable. Don’t recommend.

The following was a letter I had wrote to my travel agency that I had booked through.||||To whom it may concern,||||I was quite disappointed in my stay at the OYO Hotel in Pompano Beach. After arriving at 2:00PM for the check in time stated in the reservation, I was told that my booking agency and I were misinformed and I would wait until 4:00PM to check in. Between the three front desk employee's piercing glares and silent side comments about heaven knows what, I was assured that the additional two hours was to take extra care in cleaning the room. || ||I don't mind trading my time for cleanliness and the room did appear clean at first glance, but I had checked in to a maintenance nightmare. The broken lamp, water heater cover falling off the wall, and bathroom light fixture collapsing would be enough to cause complaint, but the nightmare continued. the telephone didn't work. The front desk only offered one key for two guests (okay, this I could have dealt with. I am not a monster). The television wires had to be untangled to get the television to be viewed correctly. || ||All of these issues have -- sadly -- become something to be expected at the low price point that I was able to snag through my travel site. The two unacceptable things are what made this hotel inadequate. Because the television is antenna, most channels don't work consistently. Even worse: the first floor rooms near the pool in building D seemed to be in a WiFi dead zone during my stay.|| ||I brought a few major problems to the attention of the front desk attendant who had informed me that maintenance had gone home. They would look into the problems the next day. He was the most helpful employee I interacted with because he offered a solution to another problem I was facing; He politely offered some of the French fries from his dinner when I told him that I get "hangry" when I go without eating as long as I had. || ||This hotel reopened just two days prior. Problems happen when new management comes in. How they handle these issues--or on the contrary how they don't handle guest concerns-- can really change the mood of a guests stay. This hotel left a terrible taste in my mouth that I couldn't get out --possibly due to having left my toothbrush at home. While most hotels have toiletries ready for absent minded travelers (like yours truly) this hotel had not stocked much more than sewing kits. Silver lining : all the free time with no television or WiFi freed my evening to sew a button on my pants.||||I brought the issues to the attention on the night of arrival. I asked to be refunded when they did not fix anything.||||Oh, and the light fixture and lamp were also repaired this morning... by me.||||Please look into these issues.
