OYO Hotel Lake St. Louis - Hotel in Lake St Louis - 10600 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, USA

20 year old booked fourth trip to same hotel. Night of and 5 hours away from home, rejected service. Stated billing not done through them. Stated someone else booked for him and he lied. Extremely rude and condescending. Would not allow parent to back up with credit card. Stated do not keep records of loyal customers. Worst customer service experience ever in booking any room in the United States.

Smelliest room, Finished whole 2 bottle of air fresheners, While staying for late check-in & early check-out ! Save your LIFE & valuable money !

Disgusting and unsafe room. Looked like a big blood stain on the side of the box springs, smoke detector was missing and wires were exposed. Room stunk of smoke. Furniture was old and scratched. Tons of sketchy people in the parking lot and hanging outside of rooms. Pics online don’t match the rooms. Literally walked in, looked around and then got back in our car and left. Jim and debs next door was a nice little bar tho

This was the SCARIEST hotel I've ever stayed in (only bc we were exhausted). The 1st room had black mold on the walls, gang graffiti, holes in the walls, and dried pewk on the side of the bedstand. I complained and the very nice front desk gentleman gave us a free "upgrade" to an upstairs room. Upon entering the 2nd room, we were overwhelmed with the smell of CAT PEE!!! Well, we were tired and hungry so we decided to go to the pub for dinner and a drink...oh boy...was a like massive tweeker convention came to town!!! Thankfully there is a Danny's down the road. Fun fact, when we got back, there was a man laying in the parking lot partially passed out. I will be contacting the health department as in both rooms there eas blood on the walls, obviously a drug hang out, black mold, and soooooooo many bugs. DO NOT STAY HERE. I have read the reviews and management is NOT sorry, and they do NOTHING about the condition of the rooms, or the riff raff outside. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Really awful, should have left as soon as we saw the lobby but it was late and we were exhausted. Dirty, holes in sheet, purple stained tub and door jam, holes in the walls, floors were dirty, sketchy people hanging out in parking lot, drinking and smoking pot, lobby looked like a garage sale, don't stay here, when we came out in the morning we were happy our car was still there and that our trailer wasn't broken into, we did get up to check on it several times during the night and at one point there was a homeless looking person wandering in the parking lot. The room also smelled of smoke that they tried to cover up with deodorant that did not work.

Positive: Location Negative: Room was in need of repairs, holes in walls, bed covers torn, carpet dirty.. The toilet did not flush properly. Sewage backed up into the tub,horrible smell; unable to use. Staff seemed unresponsive, no compensation offered for not being able to shower.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. It is awful and nothing like the pictures on their site. They are poorly managed if managed at all. There was blood on the mattress and no mattress cover. The floors had some kind of filth that was never cleaned up. The ceiling was falling in. The baseboards are falling off. Bathtub was patched 3 different times. The nozzle for the bath was capped off. The peep hole was not secured and you can remove it from the outside. The safety lock was broken. I wish I could post the pictures that I took of the room. Overall disgusting and no one should ever have to rent a room like this!!!!

First of all the "owner" and his girlfriend were some of the rudest people I have ever run across. He would not give me his name no matter how many times I asked. We had to change rooms right away because they smelled of smoke so badly. I had booked two rooms and couldn't cancel. You have to leave a $100 deposit in case anything gets broken or we smoked in the room. Many things were broken. Worst of all the door looked like it had been kicked in before. We had to get several keys over the course of the night to open the door. Our room was directly above the very rowdy pub. We also witnessed drug deals. The cops were out several times. We found an old 2 liter soda under our bed as well as dead bugs. We had no phone to contact the front desk and there was broken tile that led to me falling flat on my face. My front tooth went completely through my bottom lip. When I walked to the front desk to asked for first aid they told me if I did not go back to my room immediately they would call the cops. I honestly thought maybe they might have some gauze or something of that nature. I had to go to the doctor the next morning because I needed stitches. To top it off, we got charged for three rooms because my husband grabbed two pillows from our first room and brought to our second room which only had two very small ones (first room had 4). The "owner" came to our new room and said either we could pay for the other room or leave. We had a friend with us, so we decided to stay because we had already spent so much money. We were moving across the country. They charged more for the third room that we got the pillows out of than the other two. Overall; it was the absolute worst. I don't have a clue how they are still in operation.
