Campground has large level sites with many pull-throughs. Close to several restaurants with easy entrance to freeway. Shirley, the manager, was exceptionally kind when our truck broke down and we had to leave our camper there for several days. Can't say enough good things!
Shirley has awesome customer service and very knowledgeable about the area! Stayed overnight in spot 13, easy in and out! Our fur baby likes the dog area and lots of trees near it. Great park for families with kids! We will definitely stay again, if we visit the area again!
Based on these number of negative reviews on this campground, we decided to roll thru on a recent ride over to Camping World. We were pleasantly pleased at what we saw. Not many campers there, but husband used the restroom and said it was clean. The upper sites looked very level and clean too! The lower sites do have some leveling up to have done, but recent rains have kept it pretty muddy in spots. We had already decided to try for a time to come back and camp there when we were approached by a lady in a vehicle. She was so very nice and said she was the owner and then told us they were spending time in renovations and improvements. They live on site, and we had a wonderful chat as we discussed our concern over the bad reviews. See folks...it pays to check it out for yourselves. Ownership changes hands, and things change. We will stay there for sure!!
Bathrooms are not great. Shower handles women’s room are broken. Water was dripping in one stall.
Men’s room door lock was broken my husband didn’t need code. I was worried because we arrived at dusk. Didn’t like that he was unsafe.
We called late on a Saturday afternoon for an overnight reservation and immediately reached a person in the office. We were put in a pull through site long enough for us to not have to disconnect, which is what we wanted. Women's bathroom was clean enough. The fenced dog walk needed some work as my husband thought there was some poison ivy/sumac in it. The cover from the electric box was on the ground (not attached to box). The dumpster near the dump station had room. We were in a site near the bathhouse/office; interstate noise wasn't bad. It is a reasonable place for an overnight stay but not a vacation destination.
Four stars for the staff and reservation process. The campground itself is fine for overnight. Fairly well kept, but could use some tidying up. Didn't use any of the facilities, so can't speak to the bath house.
This is a great overnight stop when traveling I-20 between Birmingham and Atlanta. Long pull through sites with full hook ups.
Nice, clean, campground. Has key coded restrooms and showers, a nice dog walk area plus a pen they can run loose in, a playground, covered porch swings, gazebo, and covered assembly space.
Both back in and pull thru slots with full hookups. Great for an overnight stay when traveling. Close, a little too close, to I-20. Hear a lot of highway noise.
Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Walking path to Camping World.
I had a great night at the lush garden.
Owners are the sweetest and so welcoming the staff is great! 10/10 drinks are very good DEFINITELY A PLACE TO GO IF YOUR VISITING!! GREAT FOR A DATE NIGHT! TRY THE CHEESE BOARD ð
This place was more than I expected it to be. We had such a great time. They had a great selection to look at. Many birds! Reptiles, animals from several countries, rocks, dinosaurs and more. Donât skip out on the Berman Museum next door.
