We went for their special prix fixe dinner on Christmas Eve. We were happy there was something open, but the last reservation they would take was 3PM, making it more lunch than dinner. The entree choices provided a nice selection, and the 2 we tried were very good. The deserts felt a little like an afterthought and were not at the same level as the entree. For the steep price of the meal, it would have been nice to include bread.
Our server was super friendly and helpful.
Popped in midday on Christmas Eve for a drink at the upstairs bar. The ambiance here is great! The bar is superbly stocked, and the wine selection is nice. My wife and I will be returning here!
Went looking for a place where my vegan wife could enjoy a good meal not just a salad. They offer an outstanding vegan jambalaya. I had mine fully loaded with shrimp, chicken and sausage.
Don’t skip the crab dip!
Stopped here as everything on main st was packed. Being from out of town at festival just wandered and found it. Everything was on point. Crab dip, fish sandwich and a salad with redfish. Topped off with the mousse. Thank you for a nice lunch. If. We are ever back we’ll stop again.
Update: Thanksgiving meal was absolutely delicious! Great food and service!
I am happy to say that under new ownership the Owl Cafe is just as delightful as it has always been. Delicious food and wonderful service. Some nice updates have been made to the restaurant. The flight of steps leading up to the hostess desk has been redone and is much safer. New flooring gives a fresh look. The dinner menu is pretty much the same as it has been. Note, that we also went to the Owl Taproom for appetizers and drinks. It was also very good.
We had a large party for lunch on a Thursday and were warned it may take longer because they were short staffed. Our server was friendly and we didn't find the service from the kitchen extremely slow. Drink service was ok and drinks were cold. Wait staff while short staffed worked hard and did an admirable job taking care of our large party. Multiple checks, children running everywhere.
Appetizers, Salads and entrees were all presented well and tasted delicious.
They also have an elevator to reach the second floor which is a plus. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I are out on an adventure for Thanksgiving. Our destination for this year is Apalachicola, FL. Before we ventured out, we planned on celebrating Thanksgiving at the Owl Cafe. In all honesty, my expectations were average before we stepped foot inside this establishment. We figured it may be good but not like homemade...
We arrive at the restaurant and it's in a perfect little location, about 5 minutes from our hotel. The restaurant is on the second floor but there is an elevator for the disabled. As soon as we arrived, we were promptly greeted with smiles and sat down at a perfect table for 2. We ordered a lemonade, sweet tea, the turkey dinner, the shrimp dinner, pecan pie tartlet, and chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Everything was FANTASTIC! My husband's shrimp was perfectly cooked and he received A LOT of them! All of the portions were VERY generous. The sweet potato souffle was really good! It had bits of pecan and they left off those sickly sweet marshmallows (thank goodness). In addition, the lemonade and sweet tea were so good without being overly sweet. The turkey was moist with a flavorful gravy on the side. The absolute "icing on the cake" was the pecan pie tartlet. I normally DO NOT like pecan pie but oh my god, this tartlet was scrumptious! It was sweet enough, with a dollop of creamy ice cream. The pecans tasted fresh and the crust was thin, crunchy, and buttery!
The service overall was prompt, efficient, and VERY friendly. We even had the manager (we are assuming) come over and ask us about our meal. He even inquired about the squash souffle - which was unique but tasty! I just want to say thank you for being open on this holiday, and taking time from your families, to ensure we, as travelers, have something to eat. You're amazing and keep up the good work!!
What a great Sunday brunch menu! From the warm bread to the salads to the entrees, everyone enjoyed their meals. Fried shrimp with fries and slaw. Vegan jambalaya. Shrimp and grits. Our server was very friendly and on top of everything. From drink refills to making sure we enjoyed all the food. Would definitely recommend this place. We'll be back!
Delicious food, what else do you need? Started out with seafood chowder and chips with queso dip. The chowder did not look that good but tasted so so so delicious!!! The main course was Big Fish Sliders and Basil Basil flat bread. Everything tasted g

We love this seafood market! The grouper cheeks are morsels of goodness that we anticipate cooking at the campground every year. We purchase shrimp, fish, and of course grouper throats (if we're there early enough) and have our own seafood festival r
I ordered the Cafe Con Leche and Strawberry Summer cake. Both were fantastic (hence already eaten cake picture). I canât wait to come back to try more things here.
Absolutely love this place! We found it on the spur of the moment when another shop was closed. In our week here, weâve gone three times! Excellent service, amazing coffee, and the pastries are the best! We will definitely be stopping every time we
This is a great place for accessories for you, your dog or your cat! It is not overpriced and the selection is amazing. We were unexpectedly back in town a couple of days later and went back because we were so pleased the first time (and we needed
The best Duck Confit fries and crab dip you will ever eat! The key lime dream was very good but the vodka, club soda and cranberry cocktail was VERY GOOD!!
Was pleasantly surprised to see our good friend Regina during checking. As expected she did a fantastic job. Our room was clean and comfortable. Only suggestion I would make would be to move the ice machine. Otherwise great stay.
Wonderful day out checking out vendors. Lots to see and do. Beautiful weather and good crowd. Lots of food and crafts things for kids to do...oyster shucking and eating. Was a very nice day Apalachicola was a great place to enjoy all the history and
