Overland Express Restaurant and Lounge - American restaurant in Helena - 2250 11th Ave, USA

Great and friendly service but the food sadly fall short as far as flavor and taste. We ordered the chicken wings for appetizer and it was a bit burnt for our liking. For our entree hubby and I both ordered the prime rib special which is about $26. The meat was pretty tender and cooked well, but sadly lacking in flavor. Our kids also had french fries on the side and that too was a little overdone. A bit disappointed on this one.

Standard Montana fare of meat and potatoes. The history of stagecoaches and some of the artwork make the visit worthwhile.

Overall the meal was good. I was happy to see a new waitress to cut down “short staff”. Nice set up in this place, looks like horse sable booths.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my meal at the Overland Express Restaurant and Lounge in Helena, Montana, despite the amazing service provided by the waitress. The prime rib was thick, but lacked flavor and required additional seasoning. Unfortunately, even with your attempts to improve the taste, it was still not enjoyable, I only was able to take like five bits and threw away the remaining prime rib it was not worth the thirty dollars I spent on it. However, my son ordered the steak sandwich which was $18.00 was well-seasoned and the fries were amazing, which was a highlight of the meal. Despite the disappointing of my main course, I enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and comfortable booths of the restaurant. Overall, while the service was great and the ambiance was pleasant, the prime rib did not meet your expectations in terms of taste and value for the price. Perhaps next time, I’ll consider trying the steak sandwich instead.

Had a club meeting here, the servers kept the wings coming and the drinks full. Dragon wings are the best wings in Helena. Consistently.

I used to love the dragon wings, but last week I had them and they definitely weren't the same. I actually like slim chicken's wings better and the prices are way better than. The overland's wings cost more fore many years and that was ok, because they were worth it. But now they raised the price too much and the wings don't compare. So sad to see that

Fast friendly service. Not overly crowded. Price about $$ range. I had a prime rib steak sandwich. Other had a chef salad. Kids order of hot dog and fries.

Food was not up to par. I wanted something that theybdidnt have, so I went for what i thought was gonna be something if enjoy, it was a chicken breast with a pineapple slice covered in cheese on top on a regular hamb bun. My salad was frozen and then it made the ranch watery when it all melted.
