It is very nice place to spend some time relaxing. But there are no actual benches to sit, but grass is thick enough to lie down and enjoy. Pond is calming and peaceful with ducks in it. They do their own thing and will not disturb you, but will eat if you feed them some bread.
I grew up in Norman and used to love visiting the duck pond. But lately it's completely gone to poo, goose poo. It's everywhere - you can hardly walk. Time to figure out a way to clean it up or relocate the geese. I want our duck pond back!
I had a great time here. Great tailgating set-up.
Great place to spend time with your children or family in general. Don't forget to bring the bread!!
Warning don’t ever park at this duck pond. If you want to enjoy this beautiful place you will be ticketed by OU Parking enforcement, even if you have no affiliation with OU whatsoever. Oh and if you do wanna park the you’ll just have to cough up $300 for a parking permit every year
Duh this one's kind of self-explanatory. If you love nature and/or like to slip out of the daily hustle and bustle of life and into the relaxation of bird singing and cute little critters rustling through the trees above your head, this is the place to go. There is a cute little bridge where you could stand and actually see turtles and fish and their ducks and geese are accustomed to being fed so their behavior is absolutely hilarious to my kids. The geese can be a bit aggressive but what geese aren't? the fresh air and beautiful campus view are well worth a visit to this duck pond. Those ducks are hungry so it's definitely a fun place to bring the kiddos.
Always giving 5 stars to the cute lil' ducks! They're pretty friendly to humans, but most times if they don't want to be bothered, they'll just waddle away. If they see you with bread- they WILL approach pretty quickly. Same thing with the geese in this pond. They're more vocal about wanting whatever snacks you have on hand, though. The park itself is spacious, has plenty of trees and a few benches and lunch tables here and there, but I feel like it's a bit empty, considering the size. I hope more things get added in the future.
Quiet and scenic spot. There were plenty of ducks in the pond and the shore but so many more geese, perhaps just the time of year. Careful with the bread, might end up with quite the crowd
This park is a great place to check out! The trail is wide and flat, approximately 1.3 miles long. Easy hike with almost full shade when trees are leafed out. There is a pond and fishing is allowed. There is also a gazebo at the front. A fair amount
Nice park with walking hiking options. A smaller loop with a wide concrete sidewalk that has exercise stations along the path. At least three gravel paths (distances listed below). Part of the gravel trail has a creek and shade trees but most of the
A very soothing neighborhood park where you can run, walk, practice yoga on the green grass, or sit with your friends inside the gazebo. I visited the place after a winter storm, and many treesâ branches were blocking the cement trails. Some citize
This park used to be run down, but after the renovations I worked say it is possibly one of the better parks in norman. Lots of creative objects for kids to play on, a good walking trail, and fantastic tree coverage (doesn't get too hot in the summe
i love this place. itâs my go-to when iâm having a bad day, or good. really any day. the owner is amazing and so genuinely kind and generous. i went in today because i was having an awful day and finally got the plant id been wanting for months.
I've spent the past 8 years of my life working in boutique fitness gyms as a trainer and Stoic is one of the best gyms I have ever been apart of. The programming is the perfect balance of traditional strength training with a great mix of conditioning
