Otto's Delicatessen - Deli in Wantagh - 1908 Wantagh Ave, USA

Just went to get a sandwich and specifically asked the person to Please Please Please slice EVERYTHING SUPER THIN—-SHRED IT PLEASE! I could tell right away he wasn’t listening and didn’t write anything down—he gave me “PRE” sliced stale Swiss that was 1/8th of an inch thick! You could cut for a salad not a sandwich ! I had to throw it out. 2 out of last 3 sandwiches the bread was stale. I hope the “new” “old” Otto’s on Park Ave opens real soon!! 🙏🙏🙏

I ordered through Grubhub and they brought our order no issues and when I opened the sandwich it was completely wrong. I called and they would not do anything said go through Grubhub meanwhile they made the mistake not Grubhub. Really bad customer service. And just to be clear I can’t eat seeds and I got a completely seeded roll after stating plain roll. So they do not read the special notes or just don’t care.

Excellent just egg ketchup on a great tasting whole wheat roll. I love this place ,they take your order and ask your name and they call you by name and even talk to you by calling by name I think it’s great idea really pleasant atmosphere

Otto’s makes THE best chicken cutlet hero. Doesn’t matter how you like it- it’s always the right amount of chicken, cheese, sauce and good bread. Macaroni salad is also delicious- perfect recipe.

Probably the best BEC sandwich I have ever had, great attentive service and this sandwich was definitely made with love!

A 5 (if I could go higher I would). Fresh, assortment of salads and meats is superior to many delis. Friendly efficient service at fair prices. Recommended.

I grew up going to Otto's deli in the 70's and 80's. The best roast beef I ever ate along with, in my opinion, the best potato salad on long Island. I moved out of the area and have not been there since they relocated from the original location on Park Avenue about 5 or 6 years ago. Yesterday I stopped by to get a roast beef hero and potato salad to bring home. The place was clean and the workers were friendly but I knew it was not the same Otto’s. The roast beef in the deli window did not look like Otto’s house made roast beef that I remember. There were political references posted on the walls which is never a good idea and is very, very unusual for the Otto’s. I got home and unwrapped my hero and was so disappointed that it was not the great Otto’s roast beef but the standard, tasteless pre-made roast beef and to make it worst there was only about 3 slices of roast beef on the bread. All I could taste was bread and mayonnaise (see photo). The potato salad was not Otto’s potato salad as it did not taste and it was labeled with the name of another deli.
