Osteria La Buca in Sherman Oaks is absolutely amazing. Having previously visited their LA location, I believe they're part of the same family. The food, particularly the shrimp dish which I'll share photos of, was outstanding. Despite the restaurant not being too busy, they welcomed us to stay and chat for as long as we liked, and we left them a generous tip. Honestly, I recommend every single meal—they're that good. For a fantastic place to catch up with family or friends, I highly suggest Osteria La Buca.

My husband and I came here for date night and loved the food. We got the Steak tartare, hamachi crudo, the carbonara, and the short rib ragu. We also got their tiramisu which was creamy and delicious as well as the butterscotch budino which was equally delicious. The service was good with knowledgeable staff. The decor is chill and definitely not stuffy. I just wish the music matched the vibes of the place, it was very loud in there considering everyone was from the neighborhood out for a Sunday night dinner on a rainy day. Overall great place and we plan on coming back with the kiddos

Overall had a pleasant experience, considering we went early as a party before the rush came. There is complementary bread served in the beginning. We got the housemase ricotta, the octopus was amazing, extremely soft and cooked perfect and my fave is still the short rib ravioli. The grilled halibut was OK but I don’t think it was worth the price. One of the biggest disappointment was, there is no complimentary birthday desserts, but both locations require a customer to purchase desserts and then they’ll add a candle to it. it’s pretty sad regarding the overall experience on such a special day The ambience was very wallet with heaters outside. The only issue is that you can smell everything in the kitchen since there’s nothing separating the kitchen from the main dining area. Street meter parking or valet in the front or if you’re lucky you can find free parking in the neighborhood in the back

Had a nice dinner here and we had Ana amazing experience! Our waitress was super sweet and recommended a really amazing wine (it was exactly how she described)! The food was great! We got the homemade ricotta which is a MUST! We also got the meatballs which had a nice kick to them and the artichokes which were phenomenal. For pasta we tried the butter and sage and the bolognese both of which were wonderful. For desert we had the budino which was soo good! Can’t wait to come back! Definitely one of the better Italian restaurants in the valley!

New favorite restaurant in the Valley. Staff was so kind and knowledgeable. The Octopus and Artichoke are out of this world. Will be going back a lot!

Sterile atmosphere. Food is a bit pricey for what you get. Service is good. Food is hit and miss.

Food and drinks were tasty! Service was lacking unfortunately - food took longer than expected (one of the diners made a comment if they went out to get the pork somewhere), drinks took longer than expected, and finally opted out of the 2nd round when the server said “for some reason, the ticket for your drinks weren’t put in”; instead of her just saying she didn’t put it in 🤦‍♀️ Restaurant also automatically puts in a 5% charge for employee benefits 😑 that’s the business owners responsibility… not the diners. Atmosphere is great and decor is great also. May go back, not sure if it’ll be anytime soon, though, unfortunately.

Absolutely love the atmosphere and design of this place. The best vegan side dishes: broccolini & artichokes - the best I’ve ate. I wish they’d had more vegan dishes. Pomodoro (tomato) pasta was a bit bland, boring but if you are carnivore or pescatarian then you’ll find other dishes to try. Be ready for the high bill (>90€ for 2), there is 5% extra charge for employees health. But a heavenly olive bread
