What a beautiful dinner. Osteria is part Italian, part steakhouse, and boy do they do both VERY well. The staff is absolutely fantastic as is the bartender and their mixology skills. We cannot rave enough about our meal. The linguine alla matriciana was saucy, flavorful, and a large portion. The Kansas City prime beef tenderloin was out of this world. Melt in your mouth medium rare, topped with pate de foie gras and black truffles in a Marsala sauce…AH-mazing. We had a blast being from out of town and cannot wait to come back.
Our family had a wedding celebration at Osteria 177. All eleven of us loved our dishes. The service was impeccable ( our server was Gian Mario). We loved everything about Osteria 177. It is upscale but comfortable. Thank you Osteria 177 for a beautiful ending to a perfect day!
My wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary at Osteria 177. Thanks to Osteria's amazing staff, we can honestly say this was one of the greatest meals we've ever had. First of all, Dimitri provided flawless service with his sommelier background and thorough knowledge of the menu. He recommended the burrata with prosciutto and the calamari - both of which tasted so fresh and good. For our main course, we had the Rigatoni alla Norcina and another seafood pasta with vodka sauce (apologies as I forgot the name but please reference the picture). And for dessert, we had the Zabaione over caramel gelato. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough - we have become the biggest fans of Osteria. Thank you again to Dimitri and the staff for making our special day that much more special. Their kitchen knows what they're doing! Five stars across the board.
As an executive chef I love to travel across the US and taste the local hype. Last night we stepped in with no reservation in street clothes. The hostess was very accommodating and found us a their last table in a full booking. The service was to perfection (thank you Chuck). The food was inspired, delicious and on point. If you are in the area give them a try you will not be disappointed
Absolutely fantastic. Grilled calamari, bread and olive oil, caesar salad with anchovies, Birra Antoniana, Elk with mashed potatoes, Lasagna with zucchini, shrimp & jumbo lump crabmeat, limoncello cake, tiramisu, and zabaione. The calamari was out of this world incredible. Like to die for. I wanted to order 2 more plates. The lasagna was amazing. Charlie the waiter was awesome. Soooo glad I came here and I will definitely come back. We can’t stop talking about how great this restaurant was. By far the best food we had while here for 3 days. Spectacular, 10/10. Dimitri was our server and said he was a somalier. Due to past experience, we were skeptical, but boy were we wrong. We had Ostriche alla Fiorentina, Seabass Cileno all'Escarola, and Linguine con Astice Fradiavolo e Scampi. He paired all of our food with a delicious glass of wine. The food was so fresh and cooked with care. We had a great experience and will be back.
We really enjoyed the authenticity of this resto and the choice of both menu and wine list. If you are looking for an intimate Italian experience in Annapolis this fits the bill. There are options of land, sea & vegetarian, something for everyone! We had a sweet ending as well that was just as good as our starters and mains.
Osteria 177 is a niche restaurant with options seldom available anywhere else and you’re paying for that experience. You can easily tell the food is fresh, well prepared, and made to order by a chef who cares about what they are doing. Our dishes were tasteful but not mind blowing. To fully enjoy Osteria I say you have to fully appreciate higher end culinary experiences and all the tangibles that come with them. The reason I gave a four star rating was due to an awkward misunderstanding we had with the server regarding the wine we brought. The restaurant has a corking fee for individuals who would like to bring their own wines. We confirmed both the restaurant’s policy and the wines we were going to bring beforehand. The server misunderstood the rules and was reluctant to re-confirm them. We sought out management who made things right but not before an awkward encounter that put a damper on the experience.
Stopped in for lunch while traveling. The sandwiches and salads were great! Huge portions, you definitely won't leave hungry!

Warm and cozy, I had a decaf cappuccino. Not enough seats indoors for the five of us so we sat outside and discovered their most amazing secret garden. I look forward to returning on a warm sunny day to sip coffee and read a book there.
Staff and servers were great. Nice quiet booth in the back. Perfect dinner for two. All of the food was delicious. Ribeye Steak with crab meat was so good and cooked perfectly. All of the sides, even ordered at half sizes were more than enough.
We saw White Christmas - not an exact duplicate of the movie, which was a nice surprise. The acting and singing were on point and entertaining. The bar had many options. The theater was a bit chilly but it was a fun night!
