The food tasted amazing and the experience loved it. It's a small hole in the wall spot and even though it's crazy and busy outside when eating their it's just you and company and food. 100 out 10 will be coming back with friends and family
This was amazing. We got parking on the street right out front but there’s a lot on the other side of the street behind Eli Cannon’s. I had the bread pudding French toast and he had the Irish delight.
Originality! The owner was amazing. He welcomed each and every guess. And he even gave us a small story. Hahaha loved the welcoming feel. The food was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised.
Stopped in for a late breakfast at one of my favorite spots in Connecticut after not eating here for a few years, was still just as amazing! Have been craving their Banana Bread French Toast for so long, thank you Brian and everyone for being so friendly and welcoming! Originally found this restaurant on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives years ago and went with my family, on the weekend you may find a wait time occasionally but it is WELL worth the wait! Prices are very reasonable too, coffee and french toast mean for $17 dollars, out the door for $20 with a tip. Very pleased!
Update!!!!! Went back today. What an amazing time. The owner personally made us soda bread for us to send to our family in florida. He pulled out all the stops and really made us feel like part of the family. It's so good we drove 3.5 hours just to have breakfast! Even better the second time around Awesome old diner feel with an Irish twist. The sweet flat bread and soda bread are wonderful. You also can get the bread to go, which I got 4 of. Rasberry jelly was the best I have ever had. Definitely a recommended stop if you're passing through.
Such a Friendly and Welcoming Business. Old School Charm. Guests were offered a few treats while waiting for your meal..❤❤❤ Yummy EVERYTHING!! A Middletown Treasure..🤩
I came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning with two other's after reading how it was in CT's Top 10 Places for Breakfast. We were able to find parking right out front and didn't need to pay since it was a Sunday! The inside is cool and looks just like a dining car with a few tables and like an old time diner. We were able to get a table but it started filling up as we sat, so I'd recommend getting there early! The menu during COVID is limited, understandably, but all listed correctly online. You also order and pay online to limit the contact which is nice! If you order "anything goes" you literally get whatever the chef is feeling, which is a fun experience. He comes out and asks preferences and then builds a plate for you. It was a fun and different experience and the chef was funny and pleasant. I'd recommend a stop in!
Amazing, local, fun place to eat....wish I lived here so I could make this my weekly breakfast spot. Thank you for the best breakfast I have had in a long time! Update: The chef heard I was from WA and has come out several times with his favorite creations including fresh Pork Cracklings!
Excellent food quality and taste. Professional service and great Middle Eastern/ Asian cuisine. The only thing I noticed that they give very little napkins, like they have some sort of shortage or something.
