Wonderful place. It's a very beautiful trail. We spend there almost the whole day. There are not many people and you can walk and watch around, talk with your friends and observe the beauty of nature. If you need you can use a special train. We saw many alligators, otters, fish, a lot of different birds, found mushrooms, and a little snake. Recommend for family time
Amazing experience! We spent two mornings here. One to hike around the lake and boardwalk when the dunes were too wet for the shuttle tour and a second time for the tour and another hike. We saw an enormous amount of birds, otters and alligators.
There are nice picnic areas and restrooms. The volunteers who give the tours are very knowledgeable and tailor it to the people participating.
Great place to spend the day! Free entrance and parking. The boardwalk was so relaxing to walk and enjoy the wildlife. You can take a free tram ride on the weekends but you might want to check their website for hours. If you like to walk and enjoy nature then you need to check this place out and bring your lunch!
Incredible bird watching and nature walks. They also do a donation based trolly on the weekends! Very knowledgeable guides who are also photographers. I had the time of my life. Got to see an Eagle snacking on a bird, then I saw an otter catch a fish. It’s truly magical.
Wonderful place to view alligator. Better compared to lot of other costly alligator view places. But need to be little careful as there are no guards, there are some shady places, where alligators not visible. So need to be extra cautious especially when visiting with children.
Absolutely beautiful and wonderful park to spend a day walking and enjoying the beauty of nature with lot of different types of trees, birds, turtles and alligators. It is really relaxing to walk on the long boardwalk on top of the water.
With the new boardwalk addition, it is such a great place to view wildlife. It is still a bit of a hike from the parking lot. We saw many birds including a bald eagle, gators, turtles and fish. There may even be a gator right next to the trail you are walking on so be aware of your surroundings. The water is so clear along the boardwalk. It is a large area, but the tram tour makes it easy to cover a lot of it. I highly recommend the tram tour as a good overview of this beautiful habitat.
🌴 super spot to get away to and away from noises other than an occasional airboat off in the distance; lots of waterfowl and alligators 🦆🐊🦤 and my favorite, cypress trees. there's an excellent forest trail that is somewhat sunken so expect a lost sneaker 👟 the boardwalk is awesome to see a lot up & close. other trails on the pond berms take you by herons green & great. the center, welcoming pavilion, and meeting château incorporate an inspired vision & ethic for nature education & preservation 🍁🍂🌾🍀🐦🦋🪱

What an experience this place is. The gentleman that was our guide was EXCELLENT! Not only did he have a vast knowledge of the animals they care for, he also was happy to share his knowledge of the area.
The alligators were really cool to see. The b
