Great stop not far off the highway. Nice information on the history. Markings with a little more detail or distance would be great. Definitely worth the visit.

It's still pretty nice. I'm sure soon enough they'll level and pave it and remove the rugged nature of it . Several off leash dogs which were behaved well and very little dog land mines which is rare.

It is just a large parking lot with access to Oregon trail(s). There are basic vault type toilets. Some interpretive displays are present. This is basically just a trailhead, with easy paved access and parking. Quiet, peaceful place just off the highway.

I visited in early September. The trails we're very dry and dusty along through grassy fields and scrub brush. Lots of people take their dogs for walks asking here and there was plenty of evidence on the trail. Pretty views of Boise River and some volcanic basalt rocks in places. Good size parking lot close to main road. No public restroom.

Beautiful desert views and cool Oregon Trail info. There could be more signs pointing out where to look for the wagon tracks but overall a neat area. Restrooms were decent. No shade.

This is a really fun area to hike/bike this time of year. The desert is green with lots of wild flowers.
