This was a fabulous college when I graduated in the nineties. Toured it with my son recently and now it is a college full of coddling and weakness. Young adults need puppies and kittens to make it through finals week. Seriously?!? College, like life, is hard and takes work. Let's stop treating our young adults like preschoolers.
Small Town college basketball was an excellent experience. Worth seeing either winning or losing, it's athletic heart at it's best
The graduation rate is 37.5% and they lost a quarter of the faculty in 3 years, and for good reason. The school administration and board of trustees are blatantly, openly corrupt, and do not care about faculty or students at all.
First off, it is an institute of technology, not a university. NASA applications say "Technology institute graduates need not apply." NASA isn't alone in this.
I had 5 different advisors by the end of my 1st month. No one could be bothered. My final advisor was the department chair, and when he "helped" me sign up for 3 classes, 1 was class was held in Washington, and another class wasn't even scheduled for that term, so I was left with one class that term. The next term, like the term before, I needed a unique password to register for classes. Only problem was the only person who could give me the password, my advisor, was on vacation. I had to talk with his superiors to get him to reply to my email for the password. When he replied, he had an attitude.
This kind of think happened in so many different ways, I just washed my hands of this school. It took them 3 terms just to get me my student ID card. Anytime I had a academic, not scholastic, question, it usually takes about 2 hours of being bounced around from building to building, often the same buildings, having to talk to the same people, because no one can be bothered. Eventually after the 3rd time of me coming back to someone to ask the same question, I'll get a big sigh and finally an answer.
I've worked at four public universities across the country, and Oregon Tech has the most engaged and dedicated faculty and staff I've ever encountered. Students benefit from small class sizes and many opportunities for hands-on applied learning. Students I assist in Career Services are focused, dedicated and mature. The administration is proud of being career-focused but also recognizes the benefits of teaching soft skills. Oregon Tech is also increasing its emphasis on providing students with experiences that will translate to exceptional workplace skills, like working on cross functional student team projects. Oregon Tech is a hidden gem but the word is getting out.
Nice campus. Danny Miles Court is a great facility
OIT is a great school of Engineering.
Pros
1- Average students in the class between 10 to 25, so that is very good to ask and participate as well as most of the professors can easily recognize each student.
2- Reasonable professors.
3- OIT located in Klamath City which is small and cheap town.
4- Easy to get high grade if you do all your HW, NO absent , more participation.
5 - Library stuff is very helpful.
6- Safe and good place to study in.
7- US News classified Oregon Tech as one of the best five universities.
Cons:
1- Library hours are very terrible.
2- Klamath City is not active city, after 7 pm every one dies.
3- There is nothing to do if you have free time except outdoor activities.
4- Heath Center is really wasteful.
I love going to school here! its small so you can't get distracted like you can in a class at say OSU in a class of 500.
Brevada was a breath of fresh air. This amazing space has so many seating options inside and out and they have set it up in a way that invites people to gather and stay. The coffee was good as was the service. My son decided he needed a turkey sandwi
The attendant was very inviting. When I walked in she explained how everything worked and had me at a table and ready to go in less than 2 minutes. I had fun painting this Lil' guy and can't wait to see him when he's finished!
This is the number 1 shop in Klamath Falls. I shop exclusively here because of the employees and their extensive knowledge about everything in their store. Helps a newbie like me find my perfect strains. Kaprikorn is my favorite farm now because of a

Best homey diner experience. They treat you like family. My Pops comes up from Sacramento, California to visit and they remember his order! Their milkshakes are fantastic. Their serving sizes are generous. The friendliest customer service ever.
We're so incredibly grateful for this wonderful vet service.
We've been patients for years with routine checkups and vaccines.
Last week our cat returned home after missing for months, grievously injured, unable to walk, the compassion and care that
1st time I ordered from them thru delivery. Their Carne asade was awesome. Tender meat, no gristle and marinated. Will not order from anyone else from now on. Jalapeños was horrible, tough meat and full of gristle. Horrible food.
I had a great time speaking to a bunch of students for Herald and News in Klamath falls, Oregon here at the beautiful Ross Ragland Theater. Absolutely gorgeous. I would go back anytime. Great sound, great lighting, great place, great time.
