Oregon Military Museum - Museum in Clackamas - 15300 Minuteman Way, USA

Not officially opened yet (9/2022), but Thurs to Sat afternoon are open recently & welcome visitors, no admission fees yet but accept any donation🤗 No climbing on any display but ok to stand next to those for great photo-op 🤗 Guide Phil was really friendly, calm & patient, good stories experience teller. He made the walk-thru interesting, informative & we had very positive impression. Looking forward to its full opening in mid - late 2023

At one time the Oregon Military Museum was a five star Museum, but then they tore down the building it was in and now, years later, they have finally found different buildings to house the collection. It might be ready by the end of 2023 or early 2024. Evidently, there is no hurry. The work they have done is very nice, but incomplete. They had several tracked vehicles, including a small APC, 3 tanks, 1 self propelled howitzer and a tracked anti aircraft weapon stored outside. They also had a nice scout car. Inside the old armory building the museum's collection includes a Sabre Jet, several artillery pieces, two recoiled rifles and other interesting military hardware, most of which are not labeled. There were docents on site. All were pleasant but had varying knowledge levels. Camp Withycombe has changed a lot in the last 20 years and I had a lot of nostalgia looking at it in 2022.

The museum opened for a private ceremony in Aug. The ceremony honored the 41 Infantry Division Assoc. WW II menbers present. When it opens in 2023 it will be very impressive & long overdue.

Our dad was in the NYNG 27TH INFANTRY DIV during WW2 it was an honor to be able to able to attend the road naming ceremony that was held at this well kept museum a few weeks ago.

Awesome museum that will have more added to it by next year. Awesome tanks and artillery to look at with other equipment specific to our boys in the Oregon National Guard.

Still getting set up. The people there we’re actually my favorite part. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

The Oregon Military Museum is currently undergoing major renovation and is CLOSED to the public. When open, the OMM will present an awesome history of Oregonians in the military.
