What an amazing dinner and incredible service!! Stopped in to the Ore House for a drink and light dinner at the bar. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommended the Tartare, it was amazing. The entire staff is so attentive, personable, and kind! Everyone makes you feel right at home and makes the dining experience totally enjoyable. Thanks to the entire front and back of house for a beautiful meal!
Amazing service and amazing food. The cocktails were a real surprise- really inventive and unique with a lot of effort in homemade ingredients like a special dirty martini brine and a cilantro tequila infusion. The steak was amazing, and did not disappoint. Brussel sprouts and potatoes were phenomenal. Our waitress was kind, fun, and made the evening feel special.
AMAZING! Initial light drink on the house. Steaks were phenomenal. Melt in your mouth. I ordered the Ribeye and my husband had the filet. The cornbread with bacon butter, chefs kiss. The manager came out to check on us, and chatted with us. She was the sweetest! We then received a complimentary cream brûlée. Just because. The best restaurant I have had the experience of enjoying. If ever in Durango again I will be coming back!
Had a wonderful meal with family. Highly encourage trying this restaurant if you haven’t. It’s pricey, but delicious and the presentation of the plates is well done.
The Ore house is THE place in Durango I crave when I want a steak and a creme brûlée. There’s a lot of great dining experiences in Durango and the ore house is always on top of their game. Friendly service, great food.
Saturday night 5:30. Hostess required me to sit at the empty bar. I had no reservation, so fair enough, but the place wasn’t busy. I ordered surf and turf (with tax $88). No salad, sides or bread, just what is in the pic. The bartender said, “We have cornbread with bacon butter. may I bring you some?” That sounded like an up-charge so I said no. Took forever, the bar had filled up by then and everyone else had food before mine came. No explanation was offered. I just wanted a time machine so I could delete the whole experience. It was the most expensive meal of my life. I feel like an idiot for paying that much. I wanted melted butter for my lobster tail but by then the bartenders were not making eye contact. Food tasted good, I gave it one star because of value. I tipped $22- but I wish I had avoided the whole experience and saved my $110. In my opinion, It was no better than Longhorn Steak House and cost more than triple times as much. After I asked about the food taking a long time they said they were going to get me a beer and a dessert but I didn’t want either- they comped the beer I had. That didn’t work out at all how I wanted it to. I wanted to enjoy a special meal. Photo won’t upload.
We came to town and found this great place. We were able to get two seats at the bar and had a great experience. The bar staff was outstanding and made for an enjoyable end to a long day of driving.
My husband and I were treated to the best experience at the Ore House. Iris and Ian set up an incredible meal for us to enjoy to celebrate our recent wedding. We were blown away by the wonderful time we had. Every part of the experience was great. The service was exceptional, the food was unreal, and the atmosphere brought everything together perfectly. I highly recommend trying it out if you get the chance!
