Orchard House Granville - Featured Reviews (91)
We stayed at this place for my birthday weekend and it was simply amazing. Such a beautiful property that sits on several acres. It was very private and the owner greeted us as soon as we arrived. He was very helpful in explaining where everything was located and if we needed anything at all he was in the carriage house behind the big house. We stayed in this beautifully decorated suite that made me feel like I was in a different era. It felt like I was a kid again with a big 4 post bed and having the coolest architectural structures in this home. We had our own private bath that had gorgeous views of the veranda and gardens. The breakfast the following day was phenomenal! Coffee was exceptionally good, probably my favorite ever! Pancakes had toppings of peach and elderberry from their back yard orchard! Fresh farm eggs and candied bacon were to die for! This host was stupendous and very warm and inviting. I’ll never stay in a hotel again! What an experience! So worth every moment to make you feel like you are “home away from home”. Thank you Dean!
Absolutely beautiful location. The room was so nice. I loved the little fireplace area and having access to the back deck. The bed was very comfortable. The entire stay was nice and relaxing. The breakfast was amazing. I am not a huge bacon fan but omg the candied bacon was amazing. The French toast and berries was to die for. It was one of the best breakfasts I have had at a bnb. The exterior was lovely as well. We were able to walk around and see the grounds and it was beautiful. I loved my stay here and look forward to returning in the future.
What a wonderful place to stay while in the Granville/Newark Ohio area. Everything was great. Rooms were clean and well appointed, And the morning breakfasts alone are worth the stay. Has to be the finest boutique hotel I have ever stayed in.
We just had our wedding here in mid-June and it could not have been more perfect. We chose this venue because of the beautiful pine tree grove for our ceremony, but we ended up loving every single thing about this venue! Our family was able to stay in the main house the nights before and after the wedding and my husband and I stayed in the lovely carriage house. It was so nice to stay at the venue because we did not have certain times that we had to be there or leave. It made getting ready and cleaning up very stress-free! We had such a wonderful experience 100% due to the owner, Dean. He was so great to work with and made the planning process and the whole wedding weekend feel as relaxed as possible. He was extremely helpful every step of the way! He made us a fire after the rehearsal dinner, helped us coordinate with the vendors, made us delicious breakfasts and coffee, and was always around to help with little details like fixing my husband's collar when he was getting ready :) I could not recommend this venue more! We had such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back and stay as guests in the future!
Run, don't walk here! We were on a cross country road trip and the overnight here was a great respite. Clean, beautifully maintained historic home in a rural setting. Fantastic art and photograpy on the walls a plus. Breakfast was gourmet and served with real glasses and silverware, as huge plus in this post COVID world. Orchard House is pet friendly which was a major plus.
What a wonderful place to stay while in the Granville/Newark area. The host was great, rooms were nice and well appointed. The breakfasts were delicious! A true pleasure to stay here.
We stayed here for a night away and booked the carriage house room. Right off the bat, the service was great. Breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed staying in an historic home. The one downside was there was no TV in our room. There are a couple TV rooms in the main house, but it's not the same as being able to watch TV in your own private room. The other thing I will call out is the blankets and wash cloths smelled a little dingy like they were left in the washer for too long; however, this was only a slight inconvenience as we slept just fine and had no problem showering or using the bath towels. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, but I would probably stay in a room in the main house the next time.
Our host, Dean was wonderful! Great breakfasts each morning and wine, cheese and crackers in the afternoon (must request this). We almost drove by the inn but figured out if you just look for the neighbor's horse grazing, the B & B was just beyond. Close to Granville and easy to get to Columbus which made our trip that much easier. The grounds and animals were great! Beautiful home - nice mix of antiques and contemporary decor with modern conveniences! Orchard House is a must for any weary traveler!
The bio reserve is my go to for trail running. If you want low elevation change the south side trails are best. The north side trails provide more elevation change. The nature is always abundant. Pileated woodpecker in the picture. Deer and squirrels
Cool place to visit. The lake is very calm and perfect for those learning to kayak or use a small boat. Take a walk in the woods, the trails are easy and the view inside is amazing. There is a trail with fairy houses which my daughter was very excit
Nourishing, delicious food served with care! Great selection of sandwiches, salads, deli sides, and treats. Canât go wrong with the trio of deli salads; all are delicious! Service is fantastic and they offered seating in a sunny dining room of the
Great cidery. If you like traditional English cider and not the overly sweetened cider that dominates most of the U.S. market, this is the place to go. The Farmhouse cider was amazing.
Palumboâs Italian Market has been a Granville Staple for such a long time. I personally am a big fan of their lasagna. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared. If looking for some Italian cuisine I highly recommend stopping in and visiting these
Three Tigers Brewing is located in Downtown Granville. Itâs such a cute town with so many places to walk between. They offer craft cocktails & craft house brewed beer. We tried the Lavender Whiskey Sour & Juice Bazooka IPA. We were both happy with
Visited via the T.J Evans Trail which is a heck of a nice feature. On a nicer day, the outdoor seating looks to be a treat. The brick pavers give it a great look. On a Saturday late morning they were plenty busy. Counter service was efficient and
