Retro! It went from barely having a pulse to swamped quickly and the bartender seemed to do a good job of managing expectations. He communicated...acknowledged folks...imagine that! And then informed them that he had 10 or so orders ahead of them. It sounded harsh but better to know that stand there wondering! Cool restroom decor and lounge area.
I went the minute they opened - Alot of energetic and sharp women run places in the triangle area. Cool managers and owners for decades. OCSC is a local spot. The staff is all business, yet all sweet & sharp. Most everyone is polite, bright & interesting because it's laid back and Chapel Hill/Carrboro. - Despite not having an Absolute Mandarin endorsement - May I have one, on the rocks, please.
This place is incredible it looks like what I want my dream basement Bar to look like
I’d really love to embrace this place but a couple obstacles make that a challenge: namely, the performative liberal vaccine requirement and the smoker-dominated back porch. The former is illogical and outdated while the latter is a matter of personal freedom (which I understand and embrace) but I’m not a smoker and it ruins what would otherwise be an awesome place to drink/hang.
$2 PBR and a killer atmosphere, not much more you can ask for
I paid for 2 memberships when I first moved here and the bartender was really laid back and cool. Since then, there has almost always been a weird, exclusive, cliquey, performatively liberal vibe. The vaccine card requirement at this point is blatant discrimination. I’m pro-vaccine but without a card they won’t serve you and will kick you out. Tonight was the last straw when we walked in and the bartender told us dogs weren’t allowed after 9 due to past issues. If there were issues with a dog, that dog should be banned. And dogs can have issues at 5, 6, 7, or 8 so this is a very weird rule. Do they make people with dogs leave at 9 if they came at 7? Ultimately, we don’t feel welcome when we come here and the policing and rules are ridiculous.
Great drinks, bartenders, music, fun for all🪄🥂😻
I had lost my vaccine card but tried to gain entry. I showed the door guy my vaccine record from CVS indicating full vaccination plus a booster. The door guy said the information had to be on the CDC card. I reminded him you can buy those cards on the internet or counterfeit them yourself. He said 'well then you should do that.' The stupid looking piercings all over his greasy unwashed face were more of a health hazard than me not having a vaccine card. Take a bath and get a life.

Easily the best beer in Carrboro and Chapel Hill and some of their beers stand up against the best in the triangle (RIP Mystery Brewing - still miss you). What the brewer, Tate Little, is doing out of this small brewery is masterful. Do yourself a fa
It was great! It was both my friend and I's first time there and we loved it. I ordered the cheddar sausage scramble, iced vanilla oat latte and a chocolate chip cookie. The food came out so quickly and tasted delicious. I also love when a brunch spo
Very unique cocktail list with some classics and some new cutting edge recipes. The staff is very friendly. And the interior is a gorgeous green with accents of yellow! Giving 1960s mod fashion aesthetic to the place. There is even a small upstairs l
Being Gen X, I loved being able to play all my old favorite arcade games here. Loved the pinball machines too. The new mandolorian pinball game was awesome. Great atmosphere. We went on the weekend for family day. My kid is grown, but I loved seeing
