Optum Pediatric Urgent Care - Wantagh - Featured Reviews (605)
My 6 year old had croup and I was at another urgent care the day before. I came here the day after and I had the best experience I have ever had in my life at an urgent care. From the warm and empathetic front desk to the MA Yolanda and Dr. Lacorte. I know healthcare workers are overworked so I greatly appreciate the extra kindness and care. I wish I could rate this place 10 stars thank you so much. We will be coming back for all urgent matters when our pediatrician office is closed.
Dr. Chan saw my daughter tonight for an ear infection, and we had an exceptional experience. She was incredibly caring and went out of her way to help us. Her professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Dr. Chan to anyone in need of a compassionate and dedicated doctor. Thank you, Dr. Chan!
My son was seen at the urgent care for a wrist injury, very minimal wait. Everyone at the office was very friendly and helpful both Claire at the front desk and the x-ray tech (Jolene) were very sweet. Dr. LaCorte was very nice and put my son at ease.
Heartless, uncaring people who should not be in healthcare. I came in at 9:28pm, they close at 10pm. I was told they aren’t taking anymore patients and I could make an appointment for tomorrow… are you kidding me?! It’s URGENT care, meaning I need help right now. Have gone her before but won’t ever again nor recommend them. My daughter is crying for the last 2 hours with a severe headache has a rash and is nauseous and they tell me to make an appointment for tomorrow. All they cared about was going home on time, NOT helping children. Disgusting.
My daughter (18 years old) was there because of painful and frequent urination. Doctor sent out urine for culture and prescribed antibiotics. The immediate urine test showed unusual bacteria.
Four days later, I received a phone call stating the urine test was negative and for my daughter to discontinue the antibiotics.
Eight days later my daughter continues to have painful and frequent urination. Now, she's also having severe back pain.
We took her to the hospital. They confirmed a UTI infection. She was put on IV antibiotics while they kept her for 12 hours.
They could not believe that another doctor would previously tell her to stop taking antibiotics while she evidently has a UTI.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PEDESTRIAN’S OFFICE. My husband took my son, who has a sinus infection, there today and they didn’t give him a prescription. He’s had one all week and is prone to getting them since he was born early. The doctor told my husband since my son doesn’t have a fever he doesn’t have a sinus infection. I called them after the appointment to tell them he had a fever and I wanted a call back. Then I called back again and the doctor that saw him left. I spoke to another doctor who told me it’s too uncommon for a child to get a sinus infection and I tried to explain it to him and he hung up on me!!
The doctor failed to recognize my babies ear infection. After the visit, his fever became so bad that we had to rush him to the hospital, where they did recognize a severe ear infection, and the hospital put him on antibiotics
Daughter was very sick and weak and we didn’t want to make her sit around a waiting room by being a walk in so we took the first appoint we could get, hours later, at 5pm. We show up and are told it’s going to be an hour wait because there’s been a lot of walk ins. We reminded the receptionist we had an appointment and we were told that they only do that to “speed up check in” whatever that means. It’s absolutely beyond me why you would even offer appointments at that point. We will never be returning to this establishment.

We went for a private party in a side room. Staff was so nice. Food was great! Drinks kept coming. When the party was planned I was told the manager was super helpful as well. Great time!!!!
I came here because I live in Queens and I was aware thereâs the same owner. I was anxious to meet Mrs. Milene Yanez, who, due to her fatherâs heritage, passionately prepares Venezuelan cuisine. She has been delighting the Venezuelan community wi
