We came here as a group after our hike. Thankfully we came after the previous crowd because we took every seat in the place. The food was authentic and delicious. It was great to read up on the history of the owner and her family. It made us feel that much more connected. Afterwards I bought some German chocolate for my kids. Overall a great find and would recommend to any would be visitor.
Sehr gut!!! Found this lovely little German restaurant in Harker Heights, TX today and it was such an amazing experience. The taste of the food literally brought me back to my childhood living in Germany. The owner is so kind and lovely! I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit when I'm up that way. Everything was absolutely delicious!
Some of the best German food I've had. Ordered the Zegeuner Schnitzel with German potato salad, red cabbage and Spezi. The schnitzel was crisp, fresh, and moist. The sauce had good flavor and the whole thing was cooked perfect. The German potato salad and red cabbage were decent, but if I am able to return I will try the spatzle next time. Neither of the sides were as sweet as I prefer. The Mandarin Torte cake was good as well, but the item that really stood out was the schnitzel. I've only had one that was as good. Staff was friendly, I spoke with them a bit and felt like I was a guest in someone's house. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again, or bring others with me, was better than most the German restaurants in the San Antonio, New Braunfels & Fredericksburg areas. Portions are large, left with a bit in a to go box. Prices are fair for the quality and service cant be beat.
Best German schnitzel in the Ft. Hood area. Everything that makes a Wiener schnitzel, the pounding of the pork behind the kitchen doors to the slices of lemon when served, brought back many happy memories of my time in Bavaria. We really enjoyed our meal! The bonus was the real homemade German ketchup with extra curry!

You won't be disappointed!! The food is absolutely delicious, the menu is nice and small and focused on authentic German cuisine. Seating is very limited though, but there is nothing wrong about ordering and picking up if you want great food. It is amazing to experience the family passion and pride in service too.
Came here for the first time with my wife. 1/28/2023. I’m originally from Louisiana and I’ve tried many foods around here. By far this is the best food I’ve eaten out here. It was so good. The portions were amazing! The service was amazing. This is definitely me & my wife’s new favorite place to eat & dine…… I cannot say enough… Words cannot explain.
