Opal Sands Resort - Resort hotel in Clearwater Beach - 430 S Gulfview Blvd, USA

I was told we would be astonished we visited other places on the strip and was very impressed with accommodations others had available. But opal feel short in my book of astonishing. I have never been to a place as pricey and not have a microwave in my room. The personal fridge was so small I didn’t have room to put those pricey leftovers. Had to throw away. They assured us there was no smoking and we clearly seen smoking on some balconies. We have had places at least give you enough cream and sugar for coffee and maybe some eggs and a waffle. THEY FEEL SHORT. If it wasn’t for the ocean view wouldn’t be giving a review but the room was great and the view even better.

We had a fantastic time and the service was top notch! Check in was lovely and very fast. Our room was amazing, comfortable, and clean. Loved the pantry on our floor stocked with waters, snacks, ice, and cookies. Service at the pool was great - shoutout to Megan! Service at SeaGuini was really amazing (we went twice). Shoutout to Brian who actually thanked US for being great lol. Every single employee we bumped into was very courteous and friendly. I would stay here again and again (and plan to).

Nous sommes venus en famille avec nos filles car notre plus jeune intégrait l'université de Tampa. Après avoir sillonné différents endroits comme Siesta Key, St Petersburg et enfin Clearwater, nous avons découvert un hotel exceptionnel.|Les suites front de mer sont magnifiques et la vue Sunset est époustouflante.|Le restaurant SeaGuini est un must (le veal cheek ragu est extraordinaire).|Les personnes de l'hotel sont d'une disponibilité et amabilité à la perfection. Que ce soit au restaurant, à l'accueil, les valets pour les voitures,..., aucune faute !|Et un grand merci tout particulièrement à Gergi et Perla pour l'accueil de nos 2 séjours (et oui nous avons fait 2 fois 5 jours tellement l'hotel nous manquait) dont la gentillesse et le professionnalisme n'ont pas d'égal !! MERCI !!|Et Merci aussi au restaurant Charles, Georges, Chris, Dominic ainsi que Julieanna à l'accueil.|L'Opal Sands Resort est notre hotel de coeur et nous reviendrons à chaque visite de de notre fille à Tampa.

This is one of my favorite hotels in the world! It has the best location on Clearwater Beach with the 2 best restaurants... you can choose from a sandy beach bar or a high-end restaurant in the lobby! You park your car and never have to use it again! The pool and poolside service is terrific, too! Bikes are complimentary, and the toiletries are Nest! Dolphins and manatees swim by daily! I'm telling you! It's the best!

What a BEAUTIFUL resort! The staff and service were on point and the property was immaculate! Our bar staff at the pool, Nick and Allysa, were AMAZING! They felt like family from day one! Seaguini’s, their main restaurant, was delicious and the wait staff were great. We also called in room service for breakfast and then dinner one night and it was in our room within 40 minutes, hot and soooo yummy! I’d highly recommend this resort and will return here on our next trip to Clearwater!

My husband and I got married at the Opal this past May and we cannot express how amazing our entire experience was. The room was stunning, extremely clean, smelled amazing, we had an incredible view of the Gulf, and the bed was very comfortable. The hospitality from Opal staff was beyond 5 stars, especially from the Senior Event Manager Jenna. They took care of us for anything we asked for and ensured our stay was very pleasant. For our wedding...we couldn't have imagined anything more perfect. Married at sunset on the turf lawn with our reception later inside in the grand hall. The Opal staff ensured everything was on schedule and the flow of the whole wedding went smoothly. The food was amazing, the staff were incredible and the ambiance of the whole facility was everything we imagined and more. Opal made our wedding magical and unforgettable, and we are forever grateful for how they treated us for both our wedding and our stay. We will definitely be staying here again for leisure knowing how well they take care of their guests! If you are looking to get married here or just to plan a vacation, you will NOT be disappointed with your stay at Opal. By far, the best service, quality, hospitality and location (seconds walk from the beach) that we have ever stayed at for a hotel. Thank you Opal for everything!

We were recommended this spot by an Opal manager at another location, Bert S, and it did not disappoint! Check in was efficient. We had a two queen beds on the 9th floor. The views here are outstanding and sunsets should not be missed on the balcony. The room was immaculate. I don't usually use the hotel toiletries but I need more of these! The bed was comfortable, the rooms were quiet. I never heard construction noise from next door. Loved the extra touches from the pantry on our floor, the night light in the bathroom, the smells of the hotel and the fridge drawer. We are not beach people so enjoyed the pool. The food and service were great at all of the restaurants. My only recommendation would be a coffee bar. I don't give 5 stars very often but this warrants it!

ROOM HAD A FOUL ODOR!!! I’m really shocked we had this experience with The Opal because we had our beautiful wedding here last year & loved Jenna and the staff. Unfortunately, we would not be back nor recommend this hotel to others. They tried to make us stay in a room that had drainage issues and it smelled like a sewer. We had to make the assistant manager Perla go smell the room because they seemed resistant to help and then finally agreed the foul smell was something coming from the bathroom. The front desk lady Shina and assistant manager should be trained on their customer service skills because we did not feel part of the Opal family, they did not empathize with us nor try to accommodate. We had our infant with us and drove hours to get there and they told us no rooms are available so our only option was to leave. They ruined our vacation and didn’t even try and see if we could come back another day or offer to use the amenities, overall it’s not about the money. IT’S ABOUT BEING VALUED AS CUSTOMER AND THE HOSPITALITY WAS AWFUL!! I’m extremely disappointed with the Opal!! It’s also so unfortunate we will not continue our wedding anniversaries or book any other private events here. THERE ARE MANY MORE HOTELS IN CLEARWATER THAT WILL BE ACCOMMODATING WITH BETTER ROOM QUALITY AND SERVICE!!!
