ONX Wines Tasting Room & Winery - Featured Reviews (93)
My family and I did a tasting on the recommendation of a few locals, and we had the best time with Paula! The wine was awesome (some of the best we had in Paso) and the experience was so cozy and warm that we will 100% be back the next time we're in Paso.
Onx Tasting Room is located at the end of Tin City. (This NOT a hotel). The experience is always relaxing, tasting on their outdoor patio or inside. The servers are always knowledgeable on the wines that are poured and knowledgeable about the area and other winery experiences. Today, we had Paula as our server, who is knowledgeable and sweet! We started with L'Autre Femme (Picpoul Blanc, Viognier), a A.V.A. Trixie (Pinot Noir), Caliber (Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec), the Reckoning (Syrah, Malbec, Grenache) and Black Orchid (Petite Sirah). Parking could be difficult during peak times, as parking is available on the street. Onx has three spaces (for tasting only). Sometimes, one of the spaces has wood pallets in one of the spaces. The outdoor patio has heat lamps. Two seating configurations that feature couches. The rest are tables of four or a long bench seating. Restrooms are in the back where the bottling happens. Guests can see the inner workings of Onx Wines! Wine pricing is reasonable. Tastings run $25, but free to members. There is a small tree table with merchandise and wine candles for sale. Plus, their tall wine glasses are for sale also. I love these!
Three of us stopped in on a Monday night at 4:40 PM. When we walked in there was a fairly large group of people doing a tasting, but other than that the place was pretty empty. We were promptly greeted by a hostess, who immediately told us that we would not be able to do a tasting, but we could have a glass of wine because they were closing soon. Seemed kind of odd since we were there 20 minutes before closing. I got the general vibe that she wasn’t really excited that we showed up 20 minutes before closing because she obviously wanted to leave right away at 5. I would not call it the greatest service considering we typically spend $100-$200 when we go into a winetasting room. And often buy several hundred dollars worth of wine. But I guess she may have had somewhere to be at 5 PM. She did come over and chat with us a bit when we were sitting having our glass of wine, but again it just felt very mechanical, and not the best experience. I just feel she could have been a little more warm when we first got there, and been a little more tactful explaining they close at 5 PM.
We had a wonderful experience tasting wines here. Their Syrah and Petite Syrah blends were delicious, and service was great.
We had a pleasant getaway with Onx wine!! We stayed at their Airbnb, please choose them if you’re staying around Paso Robles. The view of the room is so beautiful and peaceful, we loved to see vineyard from the window. Also they provided us complimentary vintage tour, very professional and relaxing experience offered by Hera. We appreciate and enjoy the free pastry and wines in our room too, the host Dean takes good care of everything. Highly recommend!
We scheduled a wine tour online before traveling in and were blown away by the intimacy and attention to detail of this vineyard. It happened to be the release of their Indie Rosé and we were astounded by its taste compared to a traditional rosé. Our guide Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! He carted us around the entire vineyard showing us the differences of vines and stages of grapes while keeping our glasses full of their prestigious wines. Thank you for the incredibly wonderful and unforgettable experience Kevin!
We had heard good things about Onx and so wanted to check them out. When looking at their reservations online I saw that they offered a vineyard tour. I prefer these kind of experiences to just going to a tasting room because I want to learn about the winemaking process and how and why the winemakers do what they do. So I booked the tour and added the occasion banner option since the wife and I were celebrating an anniversary. Unfortunately I booked and paid for the tour before checking the weather in Paso. Turns out it was going to be well over 100 degrees on the Saturday of our tour. Pretty much everyone we spoke to the day before said that I should cancel the tour as it would be miserable out in the vineyard at that temperature. But someone from Onx called me to tell me that they would have misters in the tractor shed, (where they do the tasting) and that they could modify the tour so that it wouldn't be so bad. We got to the vineyard and it was pretty hot out but not completely wretched. When they were ready for us we got seated in the shed and I pointed out the "Happy Anniversary" banner that was hanging above our seats to the wife and she got a big kick out of it. Our host Kira was very friendly and descriptive about the wines we tried. We pretty much loved every wine we tasted, even the whites. We got to taste a few of the grapes and Kira showed us how much sugar was in the grapes by letting us look at the juice through a reflectometer. After our tasting we took a quick drive around the vineyard in a little jeep. After our tour we each got a little cupcake from a local bakery and some dessert wine. The cupcake was delicious. Usually cupcakes tend to be pretty dry but this one was nice and moist. The dessert wine was very good as well. Overall it was a great experience, even with the oppressive heat.
By far one of my favorite wineries! Not only is the staff outstanding but the wine speaks for itself! Kevin and Lisa were so sweet and made our wine tasting experience great! The recommendations were on point. Mad Crush was absolutely tasty! Thank you to all the Onx staff for a great day!

April and Larry were super sweet and gave us one of the greatest wine experiences. My girlfriend and I came up during one of the craziest storms to hit Paso and we worried about making it there. We arrived about 20 minutes before our appointment, and
Stellar. If I had to choose one word to describe Law that would be it. From the beautiful scenery, to the stunning architecture, to the warm and friendly service, I would give Law 5 stars any day - and thatâs before I even begin talking about the w
One of my favorite tasting rooms in downtown Paseo Robles! Love the wine (my favorite is the Tempranillo and the Syrah), the ambience is so warm and inviting. Above all, Denise is a great host - she was so warm and welcoming to us and the kids.

First time going to Cambria and looked for a winery that sounded unique. It was everything I could want! An amazing variety of reds with a family that knows what they're doing. The dry harvesting caught my attention, and that detail did not disappoin
