One Love Island and Soul Food Restaurant - Caribbean restaurant in Jesup - 124 S Macon St, USA

My daughter and I are foodies and love trying new things. We decided to try this place after seeing it on Google with all of its great reviews. It did not disappoint!! The Chef greeted us immediately when we entered and offered us free tastings of the lemonades that he makes… the guava lemonade was delicious!! We ordered the oxtail over rice (rice of the day was red beans and rice) with Mac and cheese and plantains. (We shared these) Oh My! The best oxtails I’ve ever had! They were fall off the bone tender but not fatty like previous experiences with oxtail. Mmm My daughter order the Coconut Garlic Honey Butter Shrimp and Salmon with fried okra and the cabbage with shredded carrots. She cleaned her plate and was so impressed with the sauce, as was I. I ordered the Sunset sauced whole red snapper with fried okra and red beans and rice. It was AMAZING 🤩 The food was the best I have eaten in a long time! Then he brought us a sample of their spectacular banana pudding… it was so delicious, but we were so full!! The food was amazing, the service was fantastic, and we will definitely be back!! I can’t wait to take the rest of my family!! 2 thumbs up and 5 stars ⭐️ This is a must try!!

Love it, can't wait to take my husband. That oxtail was so good, falling off the bone, the cabbage was very well seasoned, and that guava lemonade was amazing. It's totally worth the trip.

After waking up from my food coma, I had to come and give my review. The oxtail was fall off the bone tender, the veg was well balanced and flavored, the Mac and cheese sounded and tasted like absolute bliss. Nothing was overly spiced just well prepared. Bless up.

The homemade juices are fantastic. The cilantro chicken is fireworks in your mouth and totally unexpected flavors. Loved it. Best owners who truly love what they do. You can taste the love!!

Came into town from Savannah and stopped by this lovely place. I absolutely loved it. The food was very good and the service was even better. Ask Chef Trent what you should get if you stop in. He’s the best and an absolute joy to talk to. If I’m ever in the area again I will be back

While the owner was very short handed, he was also a phenomenal cook with an engaging personality. My wife and I tried 2 of the many specials listed and both our meals were delicious. We were happy with everything including rice & blackbeans, sweet plantains, fried okra, shrimp in hot honey butter broth and conch in cajun butter broth. The portions were generous and we left very satisfied, but sad we were just passing through the area on a long road trip so won't be able to make this a regular stop.

We like the laid-back feel of this place. We were a little disappointed that the inside picnic tables had been replaced by black tables. It changed the feel of the place. The food was very good, with three of us ordering three totally different meals. We were also a bit disappointed that soft drink and water options are inly as bottled without refills. Overall, the experience was good. We will go back.

I had the oxtails and Jasmine coconut rice along with the cabbage. They were the best I've ever had!! The macaroni wasn't too far behind that! I walked back in and told chef Trent the exact same thing!! If you're into wraps get you a jerk chicken wrap while you're there!! Awesome food, awesome experience!!
