On The Beach Motel - Motel in Old Orchard Beach - 61 W Grand Ave, USA

I took my kids to old orchard for a couple of nights to celebrate my littlest birthday. |The motel is about a five minute easy safe walk to palace place arcade/rides/ pirate cove mini golf, bars and restaurants. Lots of pub like restaurants close by. But we were just far enough away to not hear the noise of the rides and restaurants. The motel is located pretty much on beach. The beach is clean and beautiful. The pier is to the left, it is fun to play under and to walk on. Low tide was amazing with big tidal pools for the kids. There is a wash off for your feet after the beach. Thursday nights they have fireworks. The motel pool is in the parking lot, but it didn’t seem like it was, as they blocked the sides with a fence. It felt more private. It was heated and very nice to cool off as an alternative to the beach or even after the beach. The rooms themselves were remodeled with new beds, mattresses, furniture, flooring and bathroom. It was done very tastefully with a beach theme. The beds and pillows were comfortable and our ac worked fine. Outside structurally it does look like a typical motel style with two floors and the long porch like set up. But it also has been upgraded with flowers, new railings and flags. It feels more like a hotel. Price was expensive but what isn’t? Also. it’s the peak of summer and it’s to be expected. I found all the other motels on that road were basically the same price including the gross motel we stayed in last year. The only problem was the parking was very tight if you had an SUV or truck. I will go back again next year and recommend it for families and couples.

We started out our (late) summer vacation with 3 nights at On the Beach Motel in room 27, an ocean view two queen room. This was our first visit here, and we are already looking forward to coming back next summer. Our main “needs” when we are on vacation are a clean/cozy room and convenient commute to the beach. This room exceeded expectations. The room was well updated, roomy and very clean. The location was fantastic, with an amazing view of the ocean and quick access to the beach. It is also a very short walk to the pier and plenty of dinner options. We will really miss the views when we step out of the room, perfect to see the sunrise and watch the waves roll in. The kids also really enjoyed the pool which was kept plenty warm and clean. It is clear the ownership and staff take great pride in maintaining the property and making us all feel welcome and at ease when breaking away from our everyday lives for a relaxing vacation.

My husband and I stayed in room 14, it was a fantastic stay! The staff and owners were personable and friendly! The room was clean and decorated well. It has a Keurig, microwave, refrigerator, grill, indoor and out door tables for dining. The view was great, the hot tub was perfect, and the bed was comfortable! The shower was perfect too! A lot of places we've stayed have terrible water pressure or a bad shower heads not here! Hand held shower head nice warm water, and great pressure! Beach access is right there, and only a short walk to the pier. It is perfect place to get away and relax we will definitely be booking again!

We had a great family stay here with two little kids!! The property is well kept, clean, and the staff is amazingly friendly and goes out of their way to be accommodating. The owners stay on property and are incredibly nice. The views are excellent, and it's so convenient for going to the beach which is directly on. The section of beach was beautiful and not too crowded!! Will definitely be back!!!

Wonderful place to stay on OOB. The rooms are PRISTINE and beautiful, complete with a mini fridge, microwave, and plenty of storage space. The pool is really nice and heated, the beach is right there and it's in a less crowded spot than closer to the pier. It's still a very quick walk to tons of restaurants, shops, the pier, etc. Shirley, who checked us in, was super friendly and helpful. The only drawbacks are that the beds weren't super comfortable... They are memory foam and kind of thin, and I found it hard to stay comfortable all night. The second night, though, I was too tired to notice. The other drawback is that in the limited view room, the bathrooms are kind of cramped so that you kind of have to sit at an angle on the toilet if you have long legs. From pics it seems like the full ocean view rooms might not have that issue. That said, neither of these are deal breakers and we will almost certainly be back. I'll just bring Tylenol PM for the first night. 😂

Chambre #28 parfaite et endroit calme.

A nice, reasonable place to stay- right on the beach and close walking distance to shopping, dining, and fun! Front desk staff was very friendly. The room was big, clean and comfortable. I loved having a fridge and microwave in the room. The bed was ok (not much support), but good enough for two nights. My kids love the heated pool. There is a train nearby, but I couldn't hear it at all when in the room. I would stay here again.

I have never stayed at a hotel or motel where I remembered the names of the owner or staff. Well this is the place. JJ the owner and Mark the front desk manager were amazing. JJ takes great pride in his motel and it shows. The rooms were recently renovated and were impeccable. The location is killer being right on the beach. This motel is a true gem and we will absolutely stay there again.
