My stay was great! The rooms were comfy and the owners/management and staff were kind and sweet people. The complimentary breakfast was enough for my daughter and I, it has a small selection, but the location of the hotel has plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from and several on the same road. The only thing that bothered me just a little was that the ice machine was on the lobby floor but other than that it was a nice stay. They are remodeling and I have to say it does look nice in the rooms and they are very spacey and comfortable.
I stayed at the under new management motel last night. It was a wonderful experience. The new owners were very nice and friendly. They took over the motel 5 days ago. Before this motel was rundown place. But now, this motel is clean, comfortable, and safe. The condition of the motel has improved significantly. The new owners did a great job !!! Recommend it to others. I would like to support them and spread the word about the positive changes they have made for the lounge and community. It was a lot better than I expected for the price.
Clean rooms! Friendly and helpful staff. Pet friendly. Easy access to the Interstate, 3 restaurants within walking distance and Walmart just across the street. If you want an affordable, comfortable room and don’t need fancy decor or brand names I highly recommend.
Right in the middle of Everywhere! Sightseeing, shopping, interstate access nearby. You could walk to buy personal needs. Mini fridges to hold specific dietary needs. Clean. Friendly front desk staff. Brand new updates to furniture, carpeting, accessories. Looks more expensive than it is. PLUS free continental breakfast that includes fresh fruit! So, coffee is just downstairs! Seven days a week, I can cuddle with Migo, my cat.... So I have a piece of home with me even though my room is miles away. And the rooms say Welcome the minute you walk in the door. Lots of space. Thank you to the new owners who clearly care about this property and it's guests! And did I mention the view? from Marian
You are better off sticking with a brand that is consist in their standards and service. There are many in the area.
I booked Olympia Inn for August 4-5th while in town doing some hiking with my dog. On a whim I booked with Olympia Inn through Expedia due to their affordability, pet friendliness and price.
Upon arrival I noticed the property was undergoing renovation as it had just recently been taken over by an independent hotelier. Nice to see them putting work in the property despite the temporary inconvenience of some of the amenities not being available for use.
The visit started to go downhill as I checked in. Once confirming my reservation, the desk agent was setting me up for check in. When she asked if I had any pets with me I replied I did have my dog. The owner of the business was sitting next to the desk and asked how big my dog is. She is about 45lbs. To that he let me know I would be unable to stay with my pet. I pleaded with the man as my dog is well behaved and would not leave a mess. As this is going on another guest comes in with a yellow lab, larger than my dog and is greeted warmly and familiarly by the owner. He initially told me I would have to put an extra $100 plus $25 for the pet fee that was not mentioned anywhere. After some further discussion and promise to not have the dog in the bed, he agreed to $50 deposit and $25 pet fee. At this point I was just glad to have a bed to rest my head in.
Upon arrival to the room, I noticed the bolt on the door was missing for the privacy lock, the toilet seat was a bit stained and so was the shower curtain. The vent in the bathroom had a thick lining of mold covering visible from the shower. I was so tired though and just went through with it.
After leaving, I had mixed feelings about leaving a review considering I have been in the hospitality business for a decade. The kicker was when I called back today, August 24, almost 3 weeks later to ask why my deposit was not returned, they said they could not find my paperwork.
Such a disappointing experience. If you’re traveling with pets I highly recommend you stay at the La Quinta across the parking lot to ensure consistent service and room quality.
New owners are welcoming , helpful and have cleaned this spot up tremendously! Finally can feel safe on the grounds.. Rooms are updated, and cleaner... The whole atmosphere is way better then what it use to be here. Weekly prices are good, their continental breakfast is better then any other hotel in town. Location is great, you have McDonald's and gas station right next door and across the street is Walmart , dollar Tree, IHOP & more. Really the only downside is that the pool is under repairs. I also like that they've stated they put animals in certain rooms bc I am allergic to dogs and cats and it's refreshing to know that they here have designated rooms for animals! All in all Ron & family are doing a great job turning this place around!
Unfortunately we stayed here .I was told it's a very nice room, but also told I'm not allowed guests in my room. The lights flicker,I was told I can't use the tub,the lobby smells of sewage, even if they try to cover up the smell with something worse. My room is next to maintenance closet so I am constantly hearing noise and people in front of my door.My daughter has bug bites! I am sneezing all the time, probably from black mold. The windows have no screens and are extremely dangerous for my Grandchildren. Also told my Grandkids can't play in my room.So pretty dissatisfied and have a weird rash.Oh ya and neighbors slam and bang doors and bang around all night and early morning, but they won't make the loud guys leave. No matter how many times I complain.Internet goes out randomly.
I don't recommend this place.
Stayed for 2 nights. It seemed like the motel is now run by new owners. The lobby and room were clean and comfortable to stay. It looked like the motel was being remodeled, but it wasn't too noisy during the day. Would definitely come back to stay.
