Ollies - Mediterranean restaurant in Mobile - 1248 Hillcrest Rd, USA

October 10th, 2023. My wife and I decided to come to Ollies for lunch after not coming here for several years. This was one of those meals where it was disappointing to have to pay for!! There were only two tables occupied when we walked in to be seated. We ordered one drink a piece, a spinach dip for an appetizer, and we both got a hamburger wrap!! We waited 25 minutes for our spinach dip and it was okay at best!! Maybe five minutes later we got our entrees and both of our burger wraps were burnt and charred!! And I don’t mean it was a little crispy on the edges which would have been okay!! But they were both burnt so badly, there wasn’t enough ketchup to disguise the char taste!! And most of the crispy meat was in the middle with nothing but wrap at the edges!!The best thing about this meal were the french fries!! The drinks were decent!! Our server was working by herself and was super nice and polite!! Hated so much we spent $90.00 for a lunch that wasn’t worth $10.00!! And we were charged to use our debit card!! We will not be going back and wouldn’t dare recommend this place to anyone we know!! The last picture I posted is from a few days after our Ollies visit that my wife cooked at home!! I have never received such horrible service from a restaurant man. Oh my gosh. I used to be a server and team lead. Every time I come into this establishment I sit down at a table and literally no one takes my order. I waited 20 minutes this time and watched 2 other tables receive service. Now the bartender had empathy. She is awesome She did her best to make sure we at least had drinks. We finally received our food and it was very good. However the restaurant was not busy and the level of service here is completely unacceptable. I used to come to Ollie's all the time and this time I will never return unfortunately. It's sad because I really enjoyed the food but the service is just unbelievable. Once they realized I was highly annoyed they tried their best to remedy the situation. However, it was too late. I understand everyone has things going on, but you can treat people this way and expect them to be happy. Thanks Ollie's for the wonderful food.

On yesterday evening, when I visited Ollie’s the food was not up to par as it has been in the past. I ordered the Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken. When the order arrived, I could immediately tell that the chicken was not freshly cooked; this was precooked processed chicken. I immediately sent it and and requested the Margarita pizza, which was awful as well. I should’ve just ordered a cheese pizza. You could count the vegetables on the pizza. When I mentioned this to the manager on duty, neither did she apologize or show any concern to the matter. She reached across me and removed the pizza tray from the table and walked away. As being one that works with the public daily, I will say that she LACKS customer skills!! However, our waiter for the evening (Darius) was exceptional and his customer service skill were impeccable, as well as the other young man (with the reddish hair). My friends/family visit this establishment often; weekly or at least two to three times a month. Hopefully, when I decide to return, things will be better!! But to the manager with the perm, learn how to be more professional!!

The meal was decent. We got burgers and the Pattie’s from last time we ate here were thinner. The server was amazing and was very attentive. The hookah was $30 and we ordered the fruity pebbles and the flavor was almost non existent. If I blindly hit the hookah I would not be able to even name a flavor.The only reason this establishment is getting 2 stars is because our server Mallory was awesome. I don’t think I will return to this establishment again. Also they charged 4% to the bill for using a debit card.

Staff was great energetic amazing food and portions we enjoyed sampler appetizer coconut margarita the mardi gra and lamp and beef pasta with side salads . And oh my we will enjoy left overs ♡

From the warm welcome, to the excellent food, a very delightful experience. Great atmosphere too! Servers Jayda and TK were attentive, welcoming and super friendly. The Mardi Gras pasta was amazing and the eggplant dish was stellar. I could have enjoyed a bit more spice in the eggplant dish, but it was really excellent! White bean soup… outstanding! Great drinks as well. Looking forward to going back! Thank you, keep up the good work! Updated from 5 to 4 stars. Still great food and service but a 4% surcharge for a Visa credit card?? Ridiculous.

It was good...I have had better food, but the chicken kabob meat was juicy and good. The waitress was very nice and thorough. Overall a B+ experience here.

This is a nice Mediterranean restaurant. Their seafood pizza is delicious. I also like their chicken wings and lamb chops. The food tastes fresh and delicious. The staff is nice and makes sure you get your tasty meal items. The price is reasonable for good meals.
