Elegantly engaging from the moment we walked in. The Olivier House Hotel is as distinctive as New Orleans itself. Through each hallway, balcony, and staircase there are niches of unrepeated uniqueness. At times, breathtakingly magical. We relaxed in the courtyard, took in the fresh air by the pool, and couldn't help ourselves from touring throughout the rare architecture and antiques that display the true craftsmanship of times past. The staff was engaging and offered us great recommendations we hadn't heard of before. Best of all, our room was perfect in every way...clean, chic, comfortable beds & pillows, quiet, convenient, hot showers, and unlike the bizarre review before, our bathroom was a "royal flush" fit for a king & queen. (5+ shimmering stars) All the cards stacked up for a winning stay here, so we'll be back for another beautiful weekend and more beignets at Cafe Du Monde.

A fantastic location and such a friendly staff. We loved our stay here! It was our first time visiting New Orleans and we were able to walk every where easily from this location. The hotel is very old, but has amazing style and charm. I would see something new every time I would come down to the lobby. The coffee (and espressos if you asked) were great too. The room was clean and perfect for just the 2 of us. |If you are looking to skip the big hotel chain then this is the perfect place to stay.

The Olivier House Hotel stands as a beacon of history and elegance, offering guests an unforgettable journey through time in the French Quarter. From the moment you step into the grand lobby, it becomes apparent that this hotel is not merely a place to stay but a portal to the rich cultural tapestry of the Crescent City. The hotel's architecture, a splendid blend of French and Creole influences, pays homage to the city's storied past. The lobby exudes an old-world charm that instantly transports you to a bygone era. The attention to detail in the preservation of historical elements is commendable, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the unique ambiance of New Orleans. The rooms are a perfect marriage of modern comfort and classic design, providing a luxurious sanctuary after a day of exploring the lively streets outside. The plush furnishings and subtle nods to local art and culture create an inviting atmosphere, while the modern amenities ensure a comfortable and convenient stay. The Olivier House Hotel also stands out for its impeccable service. The staff, well-versed in the art of southern hospitality, went above and beyond to ensure that I felt not just accommodated but truly welcomed. Their knowledge of the city and its history adds an extra layer to the overall experience, as they eagerly share insights and recommendations for exploring the nearby historic sites, including the iconic French Quarter and Jackson Square. The Olivier House Hotel's location allows guests to easily access the city's most iconic landmarks. Whether you're strolling along the Mississippi River, exploring the lively streets of the French Quarter, or immersing yourself in the city's vibrant arts scene, this hotel serves as the perfect place for your New Orleans adventure.

I just couldn't speak more highly of my time at the Olivier House! I stayed for a week and so had a chance to explore around, which I would highly recommend, and get to see all the hidden nooks and crannies. It is such an interesting and unique place. I loved the history and character of the hotel.|The Olivier House was a great value for what it offers; great location, unbelievably friendly and helpful staff, free coffee, bottles of water, snacks and more, and lastly beautiful rooms that drip with old New Orleans character. I stayed in an interior room and it was always quiet and calm, no matter what was going on outside. | One more thing that seems small, but that I liked is that they still use real keys and not the plastic cards that never seem to work right. New Orleans and especially the French Quarter is a one of a kind place and the Olivier House fits it perfectly. I highly recommend it if you really want to experience this wonderful city in the right way.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter. We stayed in the room on Toulouse St with a private balcony. Room was great with antique furniture. Shower was not great but we managed. If you don’t want to hear the street noice then you should choose a different room. There is complementary coffee, tea, water and snacks available anytime. The staff is so friendly and gave us many recommendations for food, music, drinks and sites. I highly recommended to stay at the Olivier and get a real taste of New Orleans.

This is true to New Orleans charm. If you want pristine floors then go to the Ritz. I wouldn’t change a thing about this hotel except for the elevator stopping on the 3rd floor…it was funny. The room was pleasantly quite at night despite the intimate location to Bourbon. We could hear a little bit of the music bass up till past 3am but if you put your noise maker on it’s not bad at all. I naturally wake at 3am, so it wasn’t the music that woke me. This is by far the best coffee bar in a lobby I’ve ever experienced. Community Coffee and lots of flavors to add to your cup. We will be back just to experience another beautiful room.

My family and I stayed 3 nights in a suite, and it was so unique! The hotel was clean, beautifully decorated, 3 hotel kitties, complimentary snacks and drinks, and really pretty little outdoor nooks and crannies to explore. Despite being so close to Bourbon street, not too much noise carries from it. We had some super noisy neighbors upstairs, but not the hotels fault- just be aware if staying on the bottom floor/in a suite. Highly recommend! Would definitely stay again!

I travel for business many times every year and so I spend a fair amount of time in hotels, mostly in chain hotels. This time, since I was going to New Orleans, which is a place I always wanted to see anyway, I brought my spouse, as a surprise for her. I wanted someplace unlike the chain hotels I usually have to use. Someplace romantic and that felt like New Orleans. I could not have been happier with my choice of the Olivier House. How I am ever going back to a chain hotel after experiencing a place like this hotel, I cannot imagine. Unfortunately, there are not just hotels like this in every city.| Staying in the Olivier House was such a fun and wonderful experience for both of us. Like all the other reviews say, it is so unique, beautiful, and comfortable in every way. I could not overstate how nice the staff is and how helpful they are with anything you want to know about local places and restaurants. Everything about the hotel and it's rooms are done in a good way. I could go on, but just suffice to say all the good things other reviewers said, which I used to decide on this hotel, are true. We loved this hotel.
