Oliver's In the Heights - Bar in Peoria Heights - 1231 E Samuel Ave, USA

It was my first time dining in here and also first time trying Calzone. I didn’t know what to expect but the stuffing tasted bland, I could only finish half the pie. Their Home made Salsa and chips were decent. Their dessert Molten chocolate lava was tasty too. Service was great!

Dinner for 5 of us. We had fried pickles and nachos, which were good. I had a burger and fries. The burger wasn't seasoned much, kinda bland, and the fries were just OK. OK service, nice atmosphere ( except for cold air from the front door.?

This was my first time and it was amazing! They were crazy busy but the staff were so kind and fast. I was impressed were their customer service! They had a live band for the perfect atmosphere. Yes, I'll be back!

Food was bad..Philly cheesesteaks were dry and there are pieces of plastic in one of the sandwiches..i gave a 3 star on service only because they removed the bad sandwich from the bill. I ordered the roasted veggie spinach salad, it was literally a bag of spinach in a bowl with some sad pieces of feta, roasted mushroom, capsicum and onions. Worst meal i had in a while.

Nightlife review: we haven’t been to the heights for a couple years and were so excited to hear live music, and fellowship with friends. We felt very uncomfortable there, and VERY UNSAFE. Luckily, they have utensils there for protection, and quickly drank our expensive drinks—> and headed east across the river to safer areas.

Phenomenal place. We caught a live band called "Mix tape mayhem " the music was great, drinks were out of this world and the bar tenders were absolutely on their game. I will be back.

Not the greatest service. But we couldn’t tell if the place was understaffed, or just an inattentive server since there were many workers inside but only one waitress outside working. We sat outside, able to pick our own seats. But was not greeted by our waitress until a good 20 minutes later. We ended up grabbing our own menus from another table since it took so long to be greeted. We were there for almost 2 hours all together. Our appetizer came out fine, it was yummy. We ended up grabbing our own paper towels from another table since she never came back for a while and didn’t offer any from the start nor did we have silverware. I wish the menu had more clarification on what was in their food or what came on the food. We waited a long time for our food. It was well after our nacho supreme appetizer was finished. Eventually, the waitress apologized for the wait saying another person took the sandwich I ordered to another table so they had to remake the sandwich I ordered. Which was frustrating, but I appreciated the communication. Our food finally came and it was okay. Nothing too crazy in my opinion. We eventually got silverware from the person who brought our food out. He seemed surprised that we didn’t have that yet when we asked. When the check came out the waitress took my sandwich off the check explaining that since it took so long for our main entree that we wouldn’t have to pay for it. I appreciated that she recognized that, and took it off. I never would have requested that, mistakes happen. Overall it was alright, maybe if the server was a bit more attentive and there was live music going it would have been better for the overall atmosphere. But again, couldn’t tell if they were understaffed or just inattentive. Would recommend if you’re wanting a place to hang with friends, but wouldn’t recommend for the food or the overall service as it wasn’t as good as it could’ve been.

I enjoy Oliver's and go there frequently to hear music, but the drink prices are crazy! Way too high. The music they book is awesome. Pizza is great but that's expensive also. Wait servers are always nice.
