Finally got to visit the Fame Oleans restaurant. It does have limited hours which has made it challenging to visit before. But I was glad to visit this Tallahassee staple. I was treated with friendly service as soon as I walked in. The restaurant atmosphere is modest and unassuming. Ofcourse the star of the show was the food. My food was received quickly. There is modest dine in seating but I opted to take out. The food is DELICIOUS. I also appreciated they gave an option between pork or beef gravy. This is what soul food is suppose to be!
I love this place. I like how friendly they are as well as the food options. The food is great just expect to add salt on your grits and eggs lol
Being a picky eater I will have to say their food is superb. I got pancakes super fluffy tasted amazing. The corned beef hash was very good. I was not a fan of their eggs because I personally do not like carton eggs but other than that the food was a 10. Will go back for their breakfast and hopefully try their lunch another time.
For the best soul food in town, you have to visit Olean's Cafe! The portions are large and the food is always seasoned perfectly! I love the atmosphere and the staff. They are always friendly and I enjoy the gospel music that is playing.
If you are looking for a home cooked meal don’t look any further! Best southern cuisine in town.
Like most places, the prices seem to have increased. Expect $12/person for lunch. However the portions are large and the quality is good. This restaurant is a Tallahassee staple. Lunch is on point, especially collards and fried catfish. I used to like the breakfast; but these days the eggs are dry as is the breakfast sausage. The bacon is also not very good which should be hard to get wrong.
The food is amazing and the proportions make it well worth the price points. The line is ALWAYS out the door so don't eat before you order or in a rush. The plates will keep you full for the rest of the day. Excellent customer service while you wait. They remember you. They are kind to strangers. The only issue is they don't deliver. I still will get dressed and out of the house EARLY for the Obama special. You are reminded of how far we have come as a culture by the decor! Thank you
Great-tasting and wholesome southern soul food served with love. It doesn't matter what they're dishing up. You will not be disappointed. I cannot imagine Tallahassee without Olean's.

The staff are so friendly and the facility is even more inviting. It is a bit pricey however it is a well worth investment for getting your player to his full potential. My son started with lessons and now takes that knowledge on the field too.
