Ole Red - Featured Reviews (9450)
Of the many choices on Broadway of music and food, we were drawn into Ole Red by hearing the music from the street. The food, service, and music was great. It was the weekend and day of a major football game, so we did have a wait to get a table....but our table ended up with a great view of the musicians down below!
Ole Red is a great tavern style bar with a low rising stage below with seating all around. It has one of the largest gift shops in any bar on Broadway. Although the entrance can be confusing when first approaching the bar, I think it was a clever idea to have the entrance on the side. Often at night, especially during holidays or the weekends, it can become overcrowded with people so having a line to get in start down adjacent to the building is a good idea. The building itself was a bank long before and it still says “Broadway National Bank” on the front facade of the building. My favorite part about Ole Red was the Lookout. Most of the rooftop bars in Nashville have a large party vibe. At the lookout on Ole Red, it is a nice, classy bar that has an intimate feel with ample seating to spare. Brown leather couches line walls and tables for those ordering food. Outside on the patio there is additional seating with high-top tables and wicker couches and chairs. The umbrellas and propane fueled heaters outside assure comfortable accommodations on a colder day. I would recommend getting the nachos and pretzel if you are looking for something to snack on. The best part about the lookout was the fact that you were able to listen to live music and eat food without having to yell to the person across the table. It was a revelation from the different dining experiences I have had thus far on Broadway. I can’t wait to go back!
The food was better then expected. I was truly surprised at the prices that included souvenir cups for buying signature drinks and shots on Broadway. Speaking of being surprised, when I said the food was really well prepared I must remind everyone that I am a chef. With that being said the Chicken Sammich and the Meatloaf were amazing. Prices seemed a little high until you saw the portions you got. We were blessed to have Michelle as our waitress. Great personality, fast and extremely efficient. Chatted without wasting her time or ours, made us feel welcome but kept herself very professional. Her recommendations were on point. The bands were entertaining and Tanner (I believe was his name) did an amazing job at Bad To the Bone. Thank you guys for entertaining us we will be back. We are also going to Vegas this summer and will be checking out Ole Red in Vegas.
Watching Blake Shelton on The Voice, and seeing the clips of Ole Red in Nashville (there are 6 locations) it was a must see. We came here for lunch and the music one day, and appetizers and drinks on the roof the next day. This is a five-story building. The first floor has a large stage and there is a large second floor balcony. The 5th floor is the rooftop with an indoor and outdoor area and more live music. We really enjoyed the rooftop. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is the portion size of the Tractor Haul salad - must have been a tiny tractor. The Broadway strip is a lot of fun and in my opinion a must see area. Spend the day going from one bar to another listening to some fantastic music. Lots of fun!
Ole Red was probably my favorite bar we visited while here. We ordered some food and it was good (nachos). We hit the bar which was busy but the servers were quick and friendly. We had a waitress serving us too and she regularly checked on us and was great. The atmosphere was excellent and the performers even better.
Yikes!! Went here on a Monday night & Service was so slow. We asked for our table to get wiped down from the previous people sitting there before us. Our waiter took an additional 20 minutes after we asked this & then asked for a card on file for 3 drinks we ordered but didn’t receive yet before he could wipe off our table. Drinks were warm, even the coors we ordered didn’t have blue mountains by the time we received it. I believe in Nashville southern Peach seltzer was okay, but warm. Not a lot on the food menu. Rooftop views are nice. The table next to us said they had been waiting for 2 hours & only had 1 drink because service was so slow. We actually wanted food but for how slow it was & the review from the table next to us, we decided to go elsewhere for food. Looked like a cool place but I wouldn’t go back. Might have been just the time we went but definitely ruined the impression for us.
So we've been in Nashville for a week and this has become our favourite bar to hang out in of an evening. The drinks are great, the staff are friendly, the bands are awesome and the atmosphere is fantastic, with room to dance. We've even had dinner here.
We have been coming to Nashville a few years now, and from the beginning, we loved the atmosphere of Ole Red. It is our hangout now. We also love the live music and have been following Jake Dodds. We make sure he plays there when we come out. The service is great. Even if they get slammed, all of them have a smile on their face. And make sure you get served right and in a timely manner. I did not get food this time. But last year in June it was really good. Totally worth spending time there.
Hey Jay at The Buckle Bar in Kingston ON Bill Roemer would be a great add to your lineup. Bill filled this chill true country bar all afternoon with a solid mix of traditional and today's country hits. This guy is the real deal and talented musician.
I recently visited a local dive bar that had an awesome live music scene. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, which made it a perfect spot to chill out with friends and enjoy some great tunes. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and attentive
We were just passing through this place & ended up staying until the end of the night! Great place and we caught an excellent band with a fun crowd. Didnât try any food here but the music was excellent!
Band makes a big difference in the fun but the service is superb and atmosphere is authentic with the rustic old brick interior unlike some of the updated ones. I wish everyone keeps the old setup untouched.
What an incredible experience. First time in Nashville and first time at Rippyâs. Went twice this past week and both times had a great time. The servers both nights were fast, polite and kept tabs on us constantly. We never waited on a drink! The b

I dropped in for 2 classes while in town and I loved it. When I arrived I was welcomed and given the basic rundown so I didn't have to guess where anything was. The class was well coached, the people were friendly and encouraging even for an old goat

I started taking classes at Hola after I moved to Nashville in 2021 and have never looked back. The front desk staff are the most wonderful peopleâthey truly make an effort to know your name and your practice. The teachers are incredibly skilled. C
