Old Town Local - Shopping mall in San Diego - 2611 Congress St, USA

Staff were extremely, extremely rude. They warned us “No photos” and we followed the rules. First, when we entered, they closed the doors on all studios — that was just preposterous and infuriating. I was checking out an item on the outside while holding my camera in my hand, and they insisted that I had taken photos and threw us out. I tried to show them my camera screen that I hadn’t taken any photos, but they refused to look at it. “Get out, just get out. I’m asking in a good way.” No, that’s not a good way in any measure; that’s textbook disrespectful. Worst shopping experience ever.

Old Town is a destination in itself. We love to go walk the shops & enjoy something to eat. This the we ate at Coyote Cafe best food in my opinion there & the tortillas are to die for! They have a new park at entrance or Old town that is very beautiful.

We came for a show at Java Joe’s, which is a really cool place to enjoy local San Diego talent, but I also really enjoyed all the little shops in this new complex. Colorful and so much character in each one of them. They really did a good job with this space, definitely worth checking out. Great destination for San Diego locals, we will be back often.

A unique and colorful complex of stores, a coffee shop, and a cigar shop. One could find great local art, clever gifts, souvenirs, plants, and great coffee. On weekend nights, Java Joe's offers concerts featuring local artists. A refuge from the noise and heat. Wheelchair accessible.

So many little shops selling jewelry, candies, soap, restaurants, souvenirs, pottery, collectibles, old time photography studio, museums and tour bus trollies which takes you to more places of interest such as Coronado Island, Balboa Park, Zoo and more. The weather is cool and comfortable to enjoy all the sights and tastes of Old Town San Diego!

Loved the Old Town San Diego shops. The vendors were dressed for the scene in old fashion attire. There is plenty to do for young and old. Reasonable shopping prices. I will return next year and take advantage of the bus tour of the entire city.

I went for a show at Java Joe's. The performances were great and the vibe of the whole place was wonderful. Definitely a great spot for locals or non-locals to go enjoy live music and more in Old Town.
