Old Tavern Bar & Grill - Bar & grill in Sacramento - 1510 20th St, USA

This place has come a long way. Ever since they remodeled the place it has been a good go to spot in downtown. Cheap drinks ($4 for well) and cheap food that is worth eating. Don’t come here if you’re looking for a big menu or are starving, they serve great drunk bar food. Mostly frozen and fried but worth it for what you pay. They have a back patio where you can smoke or grab a seat and enjoy the outdoors. Not a huge place but a great layout. They have a pool table which is regularly used and pinball machines. If your local I recommend it, if you’re visiting the city there are plenty of other places I recommend.

Came through while enjoying the New Year's Pub crawl and had a drink here New Year's Eve... Super busy as there were lots of people out enjoying the pub crawl... Neat little bar and the food looked good... Will come back and try again soon to try the food...

Honestly I don't know what I ate but it was noodly... it had bacon, and it was really tasty...lol. Great atmosphere. I like to play pool here and sit in the back.

The young white lady is very drunk and Beligerent , I’m not sure if it’s because my friend and I are black but we didn’t even get acknowledged . I thought this was a very chill bar I like the back patio but don’t be rude to new people coming in I live on the next street, I would gladly be a regular that tips very well but not with service like that!!! Treat everyone equally even With skin color. Thank you🧡 tavern I do like the 6$ drinks so yummy !!

Dive bar atmosphere. Friendly patrons. Service was a bit slower than I would have liked but hey, maybe the world doesn't revolve around me. It could happen. 🍺🥃😁

Hope you are ready for a rowdy night! This bar is for drinking cheap liquor and partying. The have an inside bar and outside patio bar! They also have lots of arcade games and pool! Say hello to Miguel he is a regular and is always up for a good conversation!

What can I say? It's where I watch my favorite soccer team. The drinks are good and inexpensive. The menu from Hibachi Papi is spot on. But the best feature is the staff. From the opening crew to the closing crew OT has nothing but the coolest bartenders in town. Salud! 🍺

This is another gem in the greater downtown Sacramento area. Old tavern definitely has some good history too it. Ever since the pandemic happen, being open early morning serving food and cocktails is just a a taboo now. It’s great to see a long standing history sac bar still standing strong all these years every through a major pandemic. If your looking for a place to unwind in the early morning hours after a long night shift of work I highly recommend the Old Tavern. Opens up at 9 am and it’s just a great sunny inside establishment. Got plenty of spirits and taps for any cold beverage need. Don’t sleep on this place during the day. I’ve got some great hospitality and great drinks from old tavern early mornings. Again one of few places now in Sacramento that opens up this early (bar). Stop by and check this place out you won’t be disappointed.
