I was there for the cemetery tour, but have visited the museum previously as well. The building itself is fascinating and the museum offers a good collection of items illustrating local history, and I love the collection of curiosities displayed upstairs, from their original 19th Century collection. In addition to the main building, there is additional display space across the street, where a collection of perhaps eight other historic buildings have been relocated. If you visit, take the time to go an additional half-block down the street to see the lovely and historic covered bridge.

Another great site of the Revolutionary War in the Schoharie Valley. The highlight for me is ALWAYS the cannonball hole in one of the eaves in the back by the cemetery. It was "put" there by Joseph Brant and John Johnson during the Schoharie Valley Raid on October 17, 1780. Photos of the hole are near the end of the photos I have added here.

Beautiful museum that details the history of this part of the Catskills. Lots of history to be learned how Revolutionary wars and battles played out here Inside lots of relics and pieces from the past to gaze upon. Other buildings are part of the grounds as well like an old school house for example m

This was a wonderful experince all around for someone who is interested in history. It was very inexpensive to enter, costing $7.00 for my solo entry, and there was plenty to see. Tons of local history and everything from wooden tools to fancy buttons. I encourage you to walk through the cemetery and see the old stones as well as the barns and buildings across the street for viewing.

What an amazing walk through history in such a beautiful setting! The folks who volunteer there are well versed in the battles that took place in the area...amazing! Great covered bridge and park down the road.

My family visited because of the cemetery. I have some ancestors buried there. We did walk around to see everything. So much from the past to see on exhibit. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

My son and I had a great time today. We spoke with Mike. He was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to chat with. The museum itself is extremely well done. The insights and history with Mike really brought the place alive.

Came to the cafe for lunch. They allow dogs outside on the deck which is nice. So was able to bring mine. Got the bruschetta appetizer and the apple chicken open sandwich. Both were amazing and really good. The chips are homemade and good too. Also,
