It's a nice place with lots of mostly smooth level trails. They have a really nice interactive center and with live animals, a theater, and a boardwalk with canoe rental. It's got nice hiking trails, and the museum is nice. Some things in the museum were broke, but it had different stuff other than the typical historical stuff you see in a museum. There was also a shaded playground. The restrooms were very clean.
I will be back to canoe and finish the canal trail.
This is a really awesome find. They have a house where Lord Colleton lived in the early 16 to 1700s. There is also a fort hidden in the woods. Lots of trails for hiking and right on the upper Cooper River. Great place for picnics and events. I suggest checking them out if you are in Moncks Corner and appreciate history.
Old Santee canal park was Absolutely breathtaking!
We loved the beautiful trails and loved seeing turtles, frogs and lizards galore
It's definitely a Kid friendly hike (not all stroller friendly, as there are staircases to walk up and down)
This is definitely one we will do a lot more!
Grew up coming here but it never gets old. Museums and trails are very nice!
This park is a must for people who love birds and reptiles. All of the trails lead to some breathtaking views. The history of the project is very interesting. If I could give more stars I would!!!
My family and I really enjoyed the guided nature walk and tour given by Brad. The park is absolutely beautiful and we were excited to see so many different plants and animals. Brad was extremely informative and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him.
I was really impressed by the .5 mile Alligator Loop/red trail - it was lined with nice signage, and the views are beautiful! Plenty of wildlife to look for. Boardwalks were a little slick, but I didn't notice any loose nails/boards like older reviews mentioned, and anywhere the boardwalk slopes, they've installed wood strips and mesh for better traction. 4 stars because after doing the red loop, I decided to go down the longer Woodland trail (green) that connects to the Canal trail (purple). These trails are not well maintained, especially Woodland, and I do not recommend a summer walk down there unless you really like the idea of whacking your way through a swamp. The first part of Woodland looks fine, but it quickly narrows to being muddy/super overgrown, and you'll get a face full of spiderwebs every 10ft unless you wave a stick around the entire time. The few planks that have been laid on the trail to help with mud are loose and you can lose balance easily. Being so miserable was my fault - I could've turned back - but I would hope for better maintenance from a park that charges $5/adult.
I do like this park, but I'm not sure if I'll return as I'd like to get my money's worth of trails. If I do come back, I'll stay on the shorter loops that are closer to the buildings, and take time to go in the museum (it didn't appear to be open when I was there, but I didn't investigate as I was tired after the swamp-hike and wanted to leave 😅).
This is a family/ pet friendly park that has water access to the Cooper River. The facilities are well kept, and the staff is extremely friendly. I recommend this for anyone who wants a family outing or anyone who is interested in history.

My time at the monastery this week was grand!!!
I did not audibly pray the entire stay. No worship music (except an hour the final day before 7p). No sounds of nature to soothe me into sleep when I was restless. I wanted to get all my stuff "purely"
Fantastic visit there. The Wassamassaw Indian Festival was going on that day was great visit . I hope to go back to many more festivals there. The museum was very impressive too.
Beautiful park with walking trails and a canoe tour! We did the self-guided boat tour and it was wonderful! It took about 45 minutes and the âswampâ was easy to navigate with the markings on the cypress trees. The reptile/amphibian habitat house

Paiges is always a great option. The food is always yummy and fresh. The service is fast and reliable and the outdoor seating area is nice on a sunny day.
I eat here at least once a week and have never been disappointed. My go-to is a sausage, egg, and, cheese on an everything bagel. Hands down-- best breakfast sandwich in the area. All the muffins are literally to die for. You must try the peach,
Food was good and the service wasnât terrible but could be a little better .. not a bad experience at all but not at all comparable to service from other places ! The food made up for it and I would definitely go back ! Love the decor and the atmos
Absolutely my favorite place to take my family for a great time bowling. Swamp Fox Lanes is a family owned and operated bowling alley. Full service pro shop, good food, nice arcade games, pool tables, separate bar area, and a great atmosphere. They
