We were visiting friends from where we used to live so we’re familiar with this area but have never camped here. This is only the third trip in our new Casita. The park camping area is small but has large sites with asphalt and gravel. It’s quiet and peaceful. Right on the Arkansas River and close to the dam. We saw lots of birds. A Bald Eagle flew right through our camp! A lot of areas to walk or do short little bike rides. It’s close to town so it’s easy to pick up anything you may need. However, we got infested by little black ants inside our camper. I’m not sure if anything can be done about it. It may just be the time of year but it did make the experience a little uncomfortable. They did not get in our food which we were thankful for but I did ended up putting it all in a tub in the car just to be safe.

We were there to throw disc golf. This is one of my favorite courses. The course/park is well-kept.

We made reservations here during Spring Break 16' after being told that it was a quiet park, that would not be over run with wild teenagers. And we were pleasantly surprised that most of the people there where mature, older adults. ||||The park itself was very well kept and clean, nice sites right on the river. We never used the restrooms so can't comment on those.||||However, we only stayed for 2 nights because the noise from nearby industry was more than I could take. There are several industrial sites wihin a few miles of the park that are creating noise 24/7,||||Other than that, it is a really nice park and the sites are big and easy to get in and out of.

Stayed at this lovely park 2 nights. Huge sights full of grass, trees and wildlife. Deers and geese abound. Very quiet, peaceful, and friendly. Nicely covered table||shelter. Lakeview sights too. No such thing as a bad spot. As the street sign states there is a lock and dam right here. Fun to watch the ships come and go if there is any. Friendly camp volunteers. Extremely helpful and treat u better than family. U won't b sorry. $20.00 per night. Half price for seniors (62) or pass holders.

I came here for the Hot Air Balloon festival. And it was nice, spacious, grass cut, and well kept (clean).

Sweet spot number 32 for our first visit. Watched storms move through and rarely lost satellite reception (preseason NFL) at this senic river bluff spot. Awesome paved streets with dog friendly spaces. Our awning meshed well with table area aluminum covered roof. Metal fire pit with swing over grill, 30 amps and water with dump station on the way out.

This is a Corps of Engineers site so it is currently only $20 a night for a site. The sites are large grassy sites with paved pads and most have covered picnic tables and a fire ring. There is no sewer but water and electric at the sites with a dump station available. There is a large park adjacent to the campground with covered picnic tables, playground equipment, a soccer field, tennis courts, a baseball field, basketball and volleyball set up all for free use. While empty during the week it seems to be very popular with the locals on the weekend. The only downside would be for light sleepers. The campground is next to the lock and dam on the Arkansas river and whenever any of the dam gates are opened or closed a loud siren is sounded to warn any boaters that might be downstream. Possibly due to the heavy rain the area had been experiencing this happened several times in a 24 hour period. We did not find it to be obtrusive, but some might. The campground feels secluded on the river but is actually close to Russellville should need arise.

This is a nice little campground. It is $20 per night. It is a well maintained place. You are not on top of your neighbor. There I a boat ramp. There is space for your RV or you can put up a tent. Actually I believe the rules are you are allowed 2 tents per site. There is electric/water. There is a bathroom/showers on site. There are plenty of spots you can fish. It is a peaceful place for being so close to town.
