Dan heard me mention that I loved Bleu cheese olives, and went to the kitchen to stuff them himself. This was the most professional service I've had in years.

It's definitely a romantic place for a date night, and dinner was absolutely fantastic. I want another date night here!

My wife and I are visiting the area for a week, and this restaurant was top of the local attractions list at our campground. Let me say, it's on the top for a reason! We decided to go up to the Owls Nest, which is the upper area, because we wanted a more relaxed environment without as many people. We where greeted almost immediately by the bartender Dan, who was pouring some amazing drinks and mixing with the practiced hand of a veteran mixologist. Quickly we where approached by our waitress Tori, who was polite, knowledgeable about the menu items and was quick to make any recommendations based off the daily specials. When we ordered, the food came out quickly, was perfectly prepared, and priced absolutely perfectly for the portion size and quality. Which is to say, yes, it's expensive, but you don't go to a restaurant like Owls Nest because you want a cheeseburger and soda water! However, it is ABSOLUTELY worth every penny, the food is amazing! The service is top notch, and the beer selection is outstanding, with plenty of local brews, one of which prompted us to do the brewery the next day for some more! If your in the area, you should absolutely check out the Old Owl Tavern, and if you want it relaxed and chilled, go upstairs to the Owls Nest.. Tori and Dan will make sure you enjoy your visit!

This is a wonderful restaurant in Harrodsburg, honestly it’s the best in Harrodsburg. The chef makes southern down home food but we’re not talking a pile of grandma’s food (though there’s a time and place for that too!) but rather a real discerning meal. We had the grilled salmon and blackened chicken Alfredo. The salmon was cooked properly and had good flavor without overpowering spices. The Alfredo had an excellent consistency without excess oil. The chicken was very tasty. My favorite part was the surprise homemade caramel sauce on the ice cream though- delectable. We had an excellent meal on the patio around other good company in the small but comfortable space. Enjoy!

This place is part of historical Beaumont Inn in Harrodsburg, KY, which was the first settlement in KY. The Inn dates back to 1901. Great people own and work here with great food and service. If you like historic places, this should definitely be on your"to visit" list

Great food! Premium bourbon list, but call ahead if you have your heart set on tasting something specific as they were out of some. Dixon was very friendly and welcoming! Awesome place to sample bourbon without the travel and touring. The atmosphere is cool! It definitely feels like a tavern!!

I'm on a restricted diet & there isn't a lot to choose from for me, but if you're not then this is a great place - their chicken livers are still the best (my SIL got them tonight & confirmed this, lol).
