I went to see the ruins. I was there on a rainy day and of course I had the wrong shoes on. I didn't do too much exploring but there are exploring options. So I will be back. the ruins are neat and a short walk from the parking lot. Sucks that they have graffiti all over. Would be different if it was art and not just words and stupid letters. the sound of the river is calming.
Great stop while doing the 10 mile bike loop around Hastings. A wonderful trail for families with a variety of scenery. Lock and damn to see the boats come in, waterfall, old mill, scenic along the river. It has everything. Go on a little excursion to Prescott and hang at the beach, you'll have to cross the bridge but my kids loved it.
The old mill ruins are pretty cool. There's a few paths for the more adventurous to go inside the ruins and even down below to the river valley. Watch your step!
Great little park with short trails that lead you to a famous mill that burned down in the 1800s. All the remains are the brick ruins right off the river. There are paths you can follow to get down to the river if you choose. It's a short walk to Vermillion Falls Park as well. The only downside here is that there's a lot of graffiti and trash unfortunately.
Neat to see the ruins of the old mill. Sadly there’s graffiti, trash, and broken glass off the paved areas. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your pet.
Awesome little trail near Vermillion Falls. Heads into the ruins of an old mill that burned down in the late 1800s. Great for some nature and to see a bit of history.
Very cool site by the river. Easily accessible and a short walk to the mill.
Great place for adventures, especially with kids. I was nannying for the weekend with some not-so-outdoorsy kids and they loved it. Like a switch flipped. Great place to be In nature and has some well kept trails.
This park finally got a new slide out in, and the kids have loved it every time we visit. Good space for running and also has tables for sitting and eating.
Beautiful bluff trail, perfect place for a nice ride. About 5 miles each way. There's also a nice side trail to the river near the archery park end of the trail. Fantastic place for a picnic. They just added a bison herd on May 26th with at least fou
Afton state park is a great state park for hiking, birding, and as well as camping. They have more than adequate parking in a couple different areas of the park. They have some really great camp sites throughout the park, including yurts that you can
First time here! Lovely atmosphere! Place was all decorated in Christmas decor. Was very festive! Food was very good and good variety on their menu. Looking forward to coming back for Sunday brunch.
Family of 4- kids and adults enjoyed our visit! The service was phenomenal- friendly and fast. Chips and salsa kept coming! Margarita was great and so was the food! My 12 year old said he can't wait to come back!
On our way home we stopped for breakfast. As expected the coffee was excellent! Had the turkey sausage, English, muffin and ham cheese and egg burrito, both were just delicious!
Picked up the most beautiful ice cream cake for my kiddo's birthday, ordered online and asked for extra flowers and it was beautiful. We are so lucky to have such a great DQ!! Thank you so much for all you do!
