The lodge is absolutely beautiful and has so many options for sleeping and sitting areas . There's more than enough for dinning formal or casually. Multiple fireplaces , bed with bathrooms combined. It's grand , yet warm and cozy . The owners are so lovely and offer a van Uber service as well. Their kitchen is large chef size with everything you need . It's definitely a 5 star 🌟 resort .we stayed for a wedding Friday til Monday and everyone had plenty of their own space if they wanted or the great room to gather together which was wonderful since it was also a family reunion . We were truly blessed to find this gem. Cindy and perry , the owner s, are so gracious .

My husband and I recently enjoyed a lovely overnight stay in the Ruby Hummer Room at the Old Massanutten Lodge and are so thankful to have found such a peaceful and relaxing bed & breakfast after a busy day touring with crowds. Margie and her family were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The very clean and well-maintained lodge is tucked away at the end of a quiet road and is surrounded by gardens, lawn and woods. The Great Room is large and comfy with a stone fireplace and lots of seating. Since it was a warm night, we enjoyed relaxing outside on the big front porch listening to the country sounds as the sun set. The Ruby Hummer room is spacious, lovely and equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We enjoyed the view from its front facing balcony. In the morning, Margie prepared for us a delicious breakfast of stuffed French toast with blueberries, slices of ham and fruit with juice and coffee! She shared the French toast recipe which I look forward to making at home. I am so glad we found this quiet and friendly retreat in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and look forward to making a return visit when coming to see the fall foliage along the Skyline Drive!

I am so sorry this took so long to write- My Husband and I stayed at this beautiful B and B when my daughter graduated from James Madison University . Margie (our Host) could not have been more welcoming and her breakfasts were amazing. The place itself was warm romantic and inviting. My only regret is that I did not discover this hidden gem until my daughter's graduation. I surely would have stayed there every time I visited her over the 4 years of college! After this Covid nightmare is over do yourself a favor and stay here!

we stayed here for two nights. it is in a great location. the house is gorgeous and the rooms are beautiful. it is in a fantastic location. it is only about 10 minutes from harrisonburg but you feel that you are in the middle of nowhere since there are cow farms/horse farms all around. it is only 2.5 miles away from Western slopes where i did some great hiking (it also offers wonderful mountain biking but i am not a mountain biker).

It's a beautiful old Lodge that is nicely appointed inside. I went to an event there that had 70 people for a meeting. This was followed by twelve of us staying overnight. The food was very good at breakfast, and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts are very friendly, and the views are beautiful around the lodge. I would go there again.

The Old Massanutten Lodge far exceeded my expectations. The room was warm, inviting, comfortable, a little oasis where I could gather my thoughts, have a relaxing bath, and a wonderful night sleep. The host was welcoming, friendly, and truly concerned with making my short stay as lovely as possible. I so look forward to returning!

We had always stayed in close to Harrisonburg when we visited our daughter who was going to JMU. Going for graduation we knew that we needed to book early and that even then we would be hard pressed to find a room especially one that was not double or triple the usual cost, and we were right. After trying many places months before the even we finally came upon the Old Massanutten Lodge. Although it is about 10-15 minutes away from the university it was a great place to stay with a wonderful "Cherub" suite that included the bedroom and a private bathroom and sitting area for those times when one or the other of the visitors could not sleep. It was an exceptional value and the sitting room could be used for a third or fourth guest if needed. Although we did not use all the accommodations there is a huge great room with a tremendous fireplace, plus some very friendly dogs! The Innkeeper, Margie Vlasits, and her daughter were both very friendly and accommodating and provided wonderful breakfasts as well information about the area. A gem of a place out in the countryside!!

What a wonderful B&B! The Mrs of the home was one of the kindest women ive ever met. One of the best cooks ive ever met. The home is large and spacious! The rooms are GORGEOUS and private. I stayed in a suite for a birthday present for my fiance. There was a beautiful gas fireplace, a cute and great little two person balcony equipped with table and chairs. A full bathroom with a standing shower. The deal maker was the gorgeous and amazing whirlpool tub in the bedroom! This place will make you fall in love!
