Wow and wow! First time here and have to say, didn’t expect the excellence we received tonight 🤩🤩 Short wait at 5:30p for Sat night and it got crowded quickly with smiling people. First course - Brussels sprouts. I’ve had just about every kind of Brussels dish there is, but this version tops them all. Creamy, smoky, bacon sauce. You can’t eat just one - I guarantee! Next up salads - hubby’s Wedge Salad was unique and excellent. Not the typical bacon/blue cheese wedge. So tasty 😋 I had the beet arugula salad. Beets so amazing they tasted like melon! Yes. I ate the whole salad! Then, the grouper entree. Lovely, white fish fillet atop apple risotto and a side of asparagus wrapped in prosciutto. Drop the mic 🎤 - this is seriously the best meal we’ve had in Chattanooga! We met Old Man Rivers and he encouraged us to poke our head into the kitchen on the way out to give our complements to the chef & kitchen staff, which we did - loved seeing all their smiles! You’ve got to check them out! Great food award you! 👏👏👏👏👏to the chef tonight
Chattanooga and Signal Mountain are lucky to have such a fine establishment added to their community. The service is second to none , nd if you're lucky, you might meet Mr. Rivers, who treats you like family and walks you through their vibrant menu of farm to table quality dishes, even if you're just here for lunch. 10/10 I'll be a regular here for sure.
What a fantastic experience! I came here for my birthday dinner with my family and was treated so kindly. The duck risotto is a must! The quail, chicken, and short rib were all excellent as well. The owner has created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, paired with the chef’s excellent menu, and you have a unique experience, one that isn’t stuffy but has all the feel of a neighborhood bar with food that tastes like a white linen table cloth restaurant. We’ll definitely be back!
Randomly stopped here for breakfast/lunch and glad we did. The team, to include the owner, are absolutely incredible. A close rival - the food. The food was delicious and a nice pairing with the hospitality! Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to delight in this experience! Well done Rivers and Team!
Everything about this place is 5 stars. Rivers is one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and makes you feel right at home! Love the cozy atmosphere as you walk in. The Scout’s old fashioned was uniquely delicious, with a marshmallow simple syrup and toasted marshmallow garnish. The stout & coffee braised short rib with asparagus saffron risotto is one of the most flavorful dishes I’ve had in a long time. My wife had the rosemary pork chop which was also amazing. Finished off our meal with a chocolate chili panna cotta which was absolutely perfect! Definitely my new favorite local tavern
Excellent addition to the neighborhood. The service and food has never failed to impress. Rachel has the recommendation you need and Rivers is making it all happen - as an outsider looking in you get the sense that everyone is working together well and there is a good culture to match the ambiance and food. It’s a go-to place for sure. Wheelchair access: ramp in front with a handicap spot. Very low threshold at the door. Restrooms are one-person and roomy. Restaurant itself is small and not much maneuvering room but a non-power chair user could get around if friendly ;-) About half of seating - or less - is hightops.
Awesome mellow vibes in this tiny restaurant. We met 2 friends there for brunch last Saturday. Excellent Bloody Marys, delicious traditional brunch dishes, love their local farm-to-fork sources.
FINALLY got some OMR and it did NOT disappoint. Had the daily meat and 2 which was blackened catfish with rice and veg medley. The cannoli trio is also a MUST. Flavors of the day were orange, peanut m&m and pistachio. To die for. Service 10 stars if I could. Owner is so incredibly kind and good at his job. Miss all the downtown restaurants for this small restaurant, 100% would be worth any amount of wait time.

The food was great. It was out in a timely manner, and the servers were on top of everything. I got the patty melt, with the home frys, which was fantastic. The location was a bit tough to get to, but the atmosphere inside the Cafe was amazing. If
