Old City Hall Restaurant - Fine dining restaurant in Gilroy - 7400 Monterey Hwy, USA

When driving to Gilroy I wondered if there was a restaurant that would serve many garlic dishes but was.. y'know...still a restaurant. I have found it! The atmosphere of the restaurant is fitting, and the staff at the restaurant are very kind and well-dressed. Burger and soup were decent, but the main dishes with garlic such as Garlic fries and roasted garlic 🧄 were amazing! Definitely a destination to stop in if you're visiting Gilroy!

An unexpected treat as we traveled through the area between Pinnacle National Park and Fremont. Amazing food. Cheese curds, potato soup, tortellini, and cheeseburger hit our table and each was divine. I'm a harsh critic of food, so I'm trying to over exaggerate to drive my point. Service was mediocre, and I wish my tip went to the cooks! Also, really loved the inside atmosphere of this old city hall building. Well done, slightly overpriced... would happily pay those prices for better wait staff.

Overall a good experience. Had chef special Chile serrano omelette with Greg jalapeños and Lemon drop. Liked food and drink very much and would definitely come back . Atmosphere is little noisy and ambience was not up to mark and could be better The jalapeño poppers were dam spicy and I personally liked it

Everything was good here, food was tasty and reasonably priced. The waiter was so nice and bilingual. Wide variety of food And cocktails

Delicious! Everything we ordered was tasty, our server was very friendly and gave us great service.

I had heard great reviews about this place, I wasn't impressed. The atmosphere was good. I had a salad. There was a hair in both of the plates we ordered, this coukd have happened anywhere. Bartender was great. I may give it another shot, not sure yet.

What a find! If you find yourself in Gilroy,CA, don’t pass this one by! Amazing food, service and ambiance. It’s housed in the historic city hall, with the old jail providing the space for the restrooms. Everything is fun including the music and line dancing lessons every Wednesday night. Great adventure- bring your appetite!
