Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom - Pizza restaurant in Olathe - 11969 S Strang Line Rd, USA

Good food and service. We fried buffalo chicken rolls and were very good. Garlic bread was tasty and wings were good. Pizza was something different. The base was quite different from other pizzas. It was very delicious. I would visit this place again with lot of people as I was unable to finish the pizza on a single go. Their thin pizza did not felt like a thin and also not like the regular pizzas. It’s something different.

Came in for a few brews to celebrate veterans day. They had a menu of free veterans day lunches which wasn't a huge surprise. What was a surprise was the thoughtfulness of the table set up to acknowledge veterans day. I instantly new a veteran had set it up. Talking with our server turned out he was a marine and had stepped up to make sure the table was a worthy example of their devotion to veterans. JOB WELL DONE. THANK YOU.

I saw Old Chicago when I lived in Chicago. I never went due to the menu had Zero authentic Chicago food. 5 Yrs later I decided to try the restaurant in ks. Chitown Trio: pepperoni rolls, mozzarella sticks, Italian nachos. It looked dry. Italian nachos concept was unique. However, the nachos was dry. The meat was moist. My stomach didn't like it that much. Sticks were good. I luv the taste of the rolls Superb. How can someone from Colorado name a restaurant Old Chicago but doesn't understand what Native Chicagoans eat. It's False Advertisement with the name. The restaurant has been around for a long time, so I guess no one cares but me.

I was craving authentic Chicago pizza so I thought I’d give Old Chicago a try. Ordered it on line and got it home to realize the only thing remotely similar to Chicago style is the crust. Although even the crust want pan high. Hardly ANY sauce and what sauce there is, is hidden under the cheese, not on top of the cheese….Chicago style. I could have ordered a pan or thick crust pizza from ANY other pizza place for less money, but I wanted CHICAGO style. Soooo disappointed.

Loved this place! Had an amazing dinner with the wife! Food was incredible and hardly no wait! Was kinda cold inside but other than that the experience was one to remember. Would recommend coming here to anyone passing through. We were great and accommodated very quickly. Server was quick and not too pushy so that was good!

Pros: (1) Has deep dish crust (2) Nice building Cons: (1) Can be very crowded (2) Pizza flavor inconsistent sometimes (in retrospect, pizza might have been undercooked on our second visit) (3) Can be slow service (way too few servers - have to wait 5-10 minutes for anything server-related)

Update : I contacted the support as specified in their reply below but no response. So sounds like these replies are just for the sake of showing review readers that they care but it's not the real case. --- Ordered Tuscan chicken pizza, got stale unknown leaves spread on it. Additionally stale celery with wings. Worst experience. Never go back here

Craft beer burger was perfectly delicious and messy beer cheese mustard sauce was awesome with the crispy and grilled onions. The Denver Peanut butter Graham cracker porter was sweet and a great beer. Salads had a lot of uncut big pieces of lettuce. Lunch was a slow and long affair though, it seemed there was one server for the entire area but she was really nice and helpful. Every booth was full either with groups eating or they hadn't been cleaned/ bussed. I wish the beers weren't so expensive. For 16 oz it was almost $6 and the burger was almost $12.
