The Hal Moore exhibition is worth going to see. Check out my photos. A true American hero and role model for anyone desiring a path of exceptional achievement. My only criticism - no discount for veterans or seniors.

What a great place, so much history! Alot of great displays with plenty of artifacts. Then you can go outside to the little village, real cabins that you can go into and check out some more history. They also have two more museums up the street but we were running out of time and were unable to check them out. But your ticket is good for 2 days, we will definitely go back to check out the rest.

For what it is, it's awesome. The museum is smaller than a typical museum but the biggest confederate museum I've ever seen. The tiny town out back is something special for sure.

Amazing original buildings are well worth a visit. The museum caretaker Kenny was very helpful and knowledgeable. One tavern is as early as the 1790s. The log cabin seminary, the first established west of the Alleghany mtns, is moving due to it's simplicity.

This was so much fun! THe kids loved it as well. Being outside and able to roam around and discover what is inside the cabins. Old trades were shown and some history about local native americans. Nice short walk, it has a ramp if you cannot do stairs!

Civil War Museum was very nice. It's a self-guided tour with most antiques nicely displayed in large glass cases, many tall enough for a human. The day we were there, a living history reenactor was there to show and tell many items of the period. He was very knowledgeable and related well with people. The Pioneer Village has some interesting cabins with a paved path. The day we were there, reenactors were supposed to be there until 5 pm. However, we went at 3 pm and the Village was empty with a few cabins open, disappointing. Interest in frontier life is better served at Old Fort Harrod or Fort Boonsboro.

Nice museum. Displays are well done and they have some very historic artifacts.

Wonderful, large collection of Union & Confederate Uniforms, weapons, & equipment. Showcases displaying complete sets of artifacts from various soldiers on both sides. Also Naval uniforms, band uniforms & instruments, medical equipment. Also vintage art prints of various battles. The log building village nextdoor is well laid out to depict 1800s life on the Kentucky frontier and interaction with native tribes.

This was an amazing newer hotel. Everything was clean, slept well, nice choice of breakfast items. My only suggestion is to have an outside backdoor for the employees to use to smoke. The side door where we went out had a couple smoking and it was le

Amazing experience here. Kelly did a great job waiting on us. Wines lean towards the sweet side which was fine by us. Strawberry & Niagara were my favorites. The Supreme pizza was also very good. Definitely worth a stop!
