Okinawa -Cartersville - Japanese restaurant in Cartersville - 1010 N Tennessee St, USA

I went here with a couple friends on Wednesday Oct. 18th 2023 around 7pm. We were seated promptly and our waiter Michael came to our table immediately to get our drink orders. I have only one complaint and it is a small one: the only tea they have is green tea, I was hoping for Oolong but it's ok. I ordered the General Tso's chicken bowl with fried rice and with crispy rolls. The chicken was excellent, with a sweet and little spice tang to it, plenty of sauce to soak the rice, and a very substantial portion size for the price. The bowl came with a small side salad and choice of sushi rolls, which I ordered the crispy rolls. Now the rolls themselves tasted ok but they put way too much sesame seed on then, which took away most of the flavor and added a horrible texture. The green tea was weak and not very satisfying to complement the meal. My friend had the spicy salmon rolls and they also were excellent, and my new favorite. Our server Michael was great. All in all I enjoyed the experience and will return with different expectations.

Came in on my lunch break to pick up food for my office. After placing my order at the counter. I asked to use the restroom. First appearance after walking into the dining section is the place did not look very clean or nice. After getting my food I went back to my office and gave everyone their food and noticed that the sushi roll was left out. My co-workers were opening their food and couldn’t believe there was only a tiny scoop of rice and a couple very small chicken pieces in it and said they wouldn’t order anything from there again. I agreed that it was not worth the price. I called to get a refund for the sushi. The girl told me I could either come back down there or get a gift card. I told her that I wasn’t impressed and I had no intentions of ever eating there again and I would just like a refund for the sushi. She rudely told me she wouldn’t give me a refund and hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak with the manager which she confirmed she is the manager. I asked her if that’s how they do business by stealing because someone not getting something they paid for and refusing to give a refund is in fact theft. She tried telling me that the roll was just a $1 extra. Which is not true because it does not say anything on the menu about it being a $1 more for the roll. It says the sushi roll is included in the price. After the way she behaved and that place stealing it was in everyone’s best interest that I don’t go back down there. I am reporting them to the BBB for theft because not giving me a refund for what they neglected to put into my bag is in fact theft.

My overall experience was just bad. The waiter was great, but the food was terrible. Order General tso’s chicken and the chicken was hard. The rice was okay, but this place has no garlic butter. How can you be an Okinawa with no garlic butter. Plus the chicken soup had way too much ginger in it. Would not recommend.

Was my first visit at Okinawa. I have great experience and our waitress was fantastic. Ask for Courtney she's the best waitress

Hands down thee BEST fried rice around!! I've tried all of the restaurants around here for years and Okinawa has the best, period. Wish I knew earlier on but hey, at least I know now. Try the Okinawa Fried Rice. Won't be disappointed!!!

Not the hibachi where they cook in front of you. The hibachi food tasted very salty, but it was still very good overall. Sushi was good, portions weren't too big, and they price for dinner was affordable. Would definitely go back to this place in this city

Visiting from Orlando. Was craving ramen. Went here after other Ramen places was closed early due to holiday. They didn’t have ramen. We did the sushi and it was a 3 out of 5. Average. Nothing spectacular. Hibachi bowl was very very basic. 2 out of 5. At 9:00 at night it was acceptable.

Food is great, but the wait in the drive through window is ridiculous. It’s a lady that’s ask’s certain customers to move around if order not ready and she lets some sit at the window. She’s terrible
