I had an absolutely stellar experience here. This casual restaurant does an excellent job of preparing fresh ingredients that are consistent and tasteful. I was happy with the braised pork, fried octopus legs, and soft shell crab I ordered. The environment is decorated in a eccentric manner that is certainly unique and makes for great photo opportunities. My only complaint was that the tables and seats are cheap, but I didn't find it to be a particular big detail. Highly recommended.
The aesthetic is wonderful! One of the most unique restaurants there. The menu is straightforward forward and the miso ramen was pretty decent according to my partner. The shrimp ramen was kinda terrible. It’s sour, vinegary, & spicy. If you come for aesthetics it’s good, but if you want good ramen, there are far better options
Very Instagram worthy place and that extends to the bathrooms. The food is, however, uneven and the ramen is mediocre and the broth is serviceable.
very yummy ramen place. great veggie options. 😋 i did everything on my phone with almost no interaction with staff except for bringing our food out. for the interior, is nothing fancy but super cozy. will deff go back.
Really wish this cute spot could up its vegetarian ramen game or allow some customization. The tempting non-veg choices, such as the soft shell crab, are all swimming in chicken-based stock, which was disappointing. The vegetarian ramen was tasty but it is the only vegetarian ramen option available. A bit more variety or the option to tweak existing dishes would elevate the experience.
It can be hard to find quality ramen in DC, but Oki Bowl is where it's at! I tried the curry ramen, and it was DELICIOUS. So much flavor! The restaurant decor is also super cute, and the service was excellent. It's a bit pricey, but it's Georgetown, and the experience did not disappoint. Will definitely be back.
We came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and were seated immediately. It’s not a huge space but there’s about 4-6 tables inside the restaurant. All ordering is done through the website accessed with a QR code which was pretty convenient. There’s limited vegetarian options so we got a bowl of Galanga Ramen and a Mushroom Bowl. Both were full of flavour and were pretty unique.
Update: I have since learned that the kimchi ramen is, in fact, not vegetarian, since the broth is made with chicken broth. This was a pretty disappointing realization considering how much I loved that ramen, but the galanga ramen is also delicious (and is actually vegetarian)!! The delightfully fragrant broth is made with coconut milk and galangal and topped with assorted mushrooms and tempura kale -- you can also request "soft kale" (just boiled, unbattered kale) if you would prefer.
All in all, Oki Bowl is a wonderful spot for unique and delicious takes on ramen, beautiful and Instagrammable decor, and what feels like a genuine illusion or hallucination when you stop by the restroom to wash your hands. Prices have risen over the last few years, so Oki Bowl isn't nearly as affordable as it was a few years ago, but they're still fairly reasonable for the ramen dishes.
The appetizer prices are a bit outrageous, though -- just four pieces of shumai or karaage will cost you upwards of $12, and the tiniest bowl of seaweed salad or plain edamame will run $10. If you make your way to Oki Bowl, definitely go for one of the ramen or rice dishes and stay clear of the appetizers -- the portion sizes are also massive, so you probably won't even need the apps.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Georgetown area! I love coming here during the winter to warm up and enjoy a delightful meal. The first thing that sets Oki Bowl apart from the rest is the shop's atmosphere -- the restaurant is colorful and uniquely decorated, with seemingly random trinkets covering the walls and ceilings in a wonderful symphony. It's definitely an incredibly Instagrammable and Snapchatable location and does a great job of appealing to the college demographic. The service is fairly good, although it can be a bit slow at times. As for the food, there are definitely better and more authentic ramen restaurants out there, but none of them are quite like Oki Bowl. Oki Bowl has a few traditional options, such as their Miso Ramen, but what makes them really special are their unique and fusion flavors. The Oki Curry Ramen is absolutely amazing and I've never had anything quite like it. It comes with fried chicken that remains flavorful and delicious even after the breading becomes soggy from the soup (I generally hate it when crispier foods get soggy, but somehow Oki Bowl makes their chicken stay amazing despite the soup). The Kimchi Ramen is also a phenomenal (and vegetarian!) choice. The ramens are on the slightly pricier side -- about $13-$18 -- but they're definitely worth it for an occasional (or not so occasional) indulgence. All of the broths are to die for, and I will definitely be frequenting this place a lot throughout the next few years.

I ate here with colleagues while in DC for the union. They had a table for six available almost right away on a Friday evening at about 6 pm. I tried the peppery chicken and the smashed cucumber. These would be good to order for the table and share,
