This place was highly recommended by my friends in Santa Fe and from start to finish it did not disappoint. We checked it a little bit late, but we’re still able to soak as the spa and baths are open until 10 PM. We definitely slept really well in a comfortable cabin, and loved having our own kitchenette to prepare breakfast, we took advantage of the free yoga in the morning and soaked for a couple hours in the afternoon the next day. We’re glad we spent two nights there and celebrated a birthday at the restaurant which has magnificent staff, and most delicious food items on the menu. It was hard to choose just two entrées and I wish we had another couple of nights to explore other options. We took a short hike and got to see a magnificent sunset over top of the resort. The various minerals definitely had a positive impact on both of our minds and bodies. We were tempted to try a sound bath, but ended up just enjoying the quiet to in the pools instead. it’s definitely an expensive vacation for us, but worth every penny. I was impressed that the day passes would be a nice option if someone was wanting to be a little more budget conscious. Amazing staff, beautiful, gift shop, and almost tranquil experience. We will definitely come back again.

I love it here & will for sure return but will share why I’m unable to give all 5 stars. The hot springs are lovely. The setting is just beautiful. The spa where we received services is also lovely as were the service providers. We stayed the night for the 1st time. Our room was fine. Good enough. Our shower was gross. We didn’t use it and opted to use the locker room shower instead which says enough. I’m okay with everything in the room being on the older side but the tile in the shower was very obviously not cleaned regularly. The mini-split heating unit was malfunctioning so we were cold. The front desk couldn’t switch our room and told us they would bring us extra blankets that never came. I will for sure come back to enjoy the spa and springs :)

We traveled to Ojo from out of state for a weekend visit and it was awful. The attention to detail at this place does not exist. Towel racks out near the soaking pools are always empty and when you ask for a towel the nearest one is three buildings over. The water containers never had water in them so tracking down a drink of water is difficult. The bathrooms were dirty and full of used towels and food wrappers. Every single time I went to the sauna it was turned off and needed an hour to heat up so I wasn’t able to use it once. The mud baths were not working. Honestly, this was the most disappointing trips I have ever been on in my life. If you are looking for a fancier get away with a relaxing setting I would highly recommend you looks elsewhere. It is definitely not worth the money.

This is one of the best hot Spring resorts I have been to. The facility is very well managed right down to the local botanic lotion in the bathrooms and the filtered water everywhere. The pools were very clean and generally uncrowded. We loved sitting near the warm fireplace in the historic adobe building sipping their delicious coffee with real half-and-half in the morning! The outdoor fire pit with real firewood, available to any guest, is a nice touch.

I do not recommend staying here for any women traveling alone. I dove down from Denver to meet friends but was staying in my own room initially at the “Inn at Ojo”. When I arrived I noted that one of the windows in my ground floor unit did not have a lock. It appeared to be broken off or missing. I called the front desk, maintenance came out and said he couldn’t do anything. They didn’t have any other rooms that night so I was uneasy but ended up being fine. There is also no deadbolt on the door, but my main concern was my unlocked ground floor window, especially in an area secluded from the rest of the resort. They had a new room the next night but I had to check out of my old room and be without a room for four hours, they couldn’t even provide an early check in. They also up charged me $100 since the room I was moved to was an “upgrade”. When I pushed the manager to refund the upcharge he pushed back and said because it was a nicer room, I should pay more. When I said the only reason I was moving was because my initial room provided was not desire, he literally rolled his eyes at me and walked away and said “fine”. The pools themselves were super lovely and tranquil, the restaurant was excellent, but I was VERY disappointed by the hotel service . I do want to mention that the female manager at night when I arrived was very lovely and understanding and did offer a free private soak. I appreciated that but her service was negated by the incredibly rude and condescending male day manager. I would recommend a day trip and nice meal at the restaurant but do not recommend the hotel, especially given the price point and fact they are billed as a more luxury resort.

Beautiful location. Terrible service. We rented out a Posi Suite for about a week. Upon arrival we noticed there were used wash rags in the bathroom, long hair all over the toilet, dirt on the bathroom floor and piles of dirt around the room like somebody had swept but not picked it up. We had to call the front desk three times over two days before I went up in person to get somebody to clean it up. One manager originally called and offered me 10% off my visit for the unacceptable service. However, when I checked out it wasn’t reflected. I then had to call two more times before a different manager, Andrew, gave 10% off for one night and said “for your day of inconvenience”. Great location. Poor management and staff services.

I cannot believe the bad reviews for Ojo Caliente near Taos. My husband and I give it to each other as a Christmas gift alternate years. On our first visit we were underwhelmed by the restaurant and on our next visit found the restaurant to be at least a 5 star dining experience. New Chefs and farm to table food is a plus. The addition of the sauna and steam room as well as more massage opportunities was a most welcome experience. We generally go in the winter around January. The cabins are comfy and inviting. During thje summer we visit as day guests, since it is only an hours drive from our home in Taos. We soak in the mineral springs relax in the sun by the large pool, have dinner and then drive home relaxed, de-stressed, and looking forward to our next visit! This Christmas it is my turn to gift it to my "most beloved."

This was such a relaxing experience. Truly enjoyed the different mineral pools and beautiful local. We did not spend the night though the cabins looked cool. The steam sauna was awesome. Day pass was very reasonably priced. Wish the mud bath had been open but no sun 😕 We are planning on returning!
